We enjoyed our stay. The oceanfront villa was absolutely incredible. That said, the food could definitely be improved.The three-star rating is mainly due to our experience with the staff. We felt somewhat uncomfortable and pressured to attend their membership presentation. It was presented as a 90-minute session, but it ended up taking closer to two hours. If it’s offered to you, I’d recommend politely declining from the start.

Overall nice place good food and excellent location. The host that worked the breakfast at the Italian restaurant above the gym was underwhelming. The waiters were all nice but he was not. I told Edwin how rude he was and he apologized to me on his behalf. He is a great worker. The host felt he needed to let me know my gym top and sarong weren’t appropriate for breakfast yet other women were parading around d I. Their one piece he claimed were ‘gym’ clothes. When he noticed I didn’t take his counsel well he changed his response and said ‘I’m just warning you, for when you go to the buffet. The staff there won’t let that outfit fly’ I said ‘sure.’ I wore the same clothes to the buffet and NEVER had that kind of a response. I felt singled out by him and almost harassed. Not cool. Not coming back. Promote Edwin. Not the host. Everyone else was cool. Timeshare presentations are intense. Prefer not to have them pushed on me at check in.

The Staff was great, the room was fine except for the lack of Hot water to take a shower. Couldn't even use the tub on the balcony that I was excited about. And the cold pools were useless. I will not be back to your resort or recommend it. But I still had fun with my friends and your staff is very friendly and nice.

The rooms were clean, even though property is old they have changed a few things and still renovating some amenities. Contrary to some reviews the AC worked fine and the showers were great. Only problem was going in January they do not regulate pool water temperature and it's usually cold and they have minimal level events and entertainment through the day not as big as some other resorts.

We had an overall pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our visit, always greeting us with a smile and willing to assist whenever needed. The food was decent and enjoyable certainly satisfying and well-prepared. It met our expectations and offered a good variety. However, one downside of our stay was that the TV in our room did not work, which was a bit disappointing when we wanted to relax in the evenings. We did inform staff, but unfortunately it wasn’t resolved during our stay. The bathroom is a bit small as well. Despite this issue, the welcoming service and comfortable atmosphere made our experience a positive one overall.

This should not be classified as a luxury hotel. It was very basic. Buffet food awful. Never hot. Saw cockroach wandering amongst the food (see attached picture) Staff (with the exception of reservations/front desk) were friendly and helpful. Front desk rude and disrespectful I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Very overpriced for what you get Nightly entertainment was a joke

The entire resort was extremely clean. Staff are kind and professional. Jesus our room cleaner did a lovely job and was informative when we asked for information he was always in a happy mood. The resort is amazing. The grounds are perfectly maintained. The beach area is better than any we have seen in the hotel zone, with spacious and ample comfortable seating. Dining options were very good, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating . Best of all was our Butler Yajahira, who checked in on us numerous times each day, and made our trip very special. We would highly recommend this resort.

Stay was a positive experience. Check in was sketchy. Were told different things about access to amenities from different people. We arrived early at 12p (confirmed ahead) and waited until 4p for room. Good enough. Had access to everything while we waited. Our room (villa) was spotless. The beach is why you come to Cancun and this resort’s beach is awesome. Service was hit or miss as was the food. We had a butler who helped with reservations for a beach bed daily (great perk) and anything else we may want. You can use them as much or as little as you like. The grounds are spread out and well maintained which we liked but could be a challenge for people with mobility issues. Would we return? Maybe.

I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful resort November 19, 2025. After extensive research, this resort truly stood out. I can confidently say I’m so glad we booked it — five days was simply not enough! The resort itself is stunning, with excellent restaurants, a gorgeous beach and pool area, and beautifully appointed rooms. Rooms: Grand Villa Master Suite Ocean Front (stayed with my fiancé):  The suite was incredibly spacious, featuring a large, comfortable couch & bed, and a beautiful bathroom. Our private terrace, complete with a plunge pool right on the beach and overlooking the ocean, was absolutely breathtaking.  Royal Suite Double Hot Tub Beachfront (parents’ stay – adults only): This room was also very spacious with a lovely layout, a large jacuzzi, and an absolutely stunning ocean view. The beach was gorgeous with soft sand & the ocean warm enough to play in the waves! With VIP status, that included complimentary use of the beach cabanas (normally around $200 USD per day). Reservations can be made through your butler. A special shout-out goes to our butler, Jesica, who was incredibly attentive & kind! I spent most of my time in the large main pool with beautiful views of the beach & a swim up bar. Food was really good. Favorite a la carte - Italian & the Teppanyaki grill Final Thoughts This was hands down my favorite all-inclusive resort I’ve ever visited. While we usually enjoy trying new resorts, this is one I will absolutely return to.

Room was clean considering the age of the resort. Shower was not draining properly and was unable to be repaired. We stood on beach towels with bath mat on top in order to keep our feet out of dirty water. At one point the turn down maid came in to take our dirty coffee, cups and wine glasses. Since we had a swimout room we happened to be there to watch her rinse our old glasses in the bathroom sink and towel dry and then put them back for next day. We weren't supposed to drink the water from the tap, why would it be okay to drink from unsanitised glasses?? Also, very vacation club heavy (time share experience) This resort is short of service, quality and luxury, time for a name change or a reno. Improve communication with guests and resolve issues sooner.

Secondly floor room with ocean very was very nice. Room was clean and comfortable. The wind whistling through the sliding door frame was annoying at night. Cleaning staff were very polite and courteous. Restaurants, buffets and snack bars had plenty of selection. Food was fresh and enjoyable. Serving staff were very attentive and engaging. Evening entertainment was very good. The beach and ocean facing view was great but a few more beach chairs and cabanas would have been nice. Overall, very please for a first time experience.
