We were impressed with how big the property is, if we had our own golf cart we could’ve explored more however we were very happy with all the food choices. We didn’t get a chance to try the Japanese restaurant as it seem like it was always booked. The free events and live entertainment and buffet on the beach were all enjoyable especially had so much fun at the Silent Party ! I would definitely visit again

The resort is overall very nice however the food was disappointing, even to the point of feeling ill. The food was a hit or miss in terms of taste and the deserts where below average. I'd recommend staying away from any raw seafood from personal experience. Also skip out on the Italian and Japanese restaurants, they are not worth waiting for a reservation.

The staff were very friendly and the resort was beautiful and very clean. However I do have dietary restrictions (no gluten) and while they do have indicators the food is limited for dietary restrictions and the server’s knowledge about restrictions vastly varied from restaurant to restaurant. If you have no dietary restrictions this resort is wonderful. Not a huge party scene and is great for relaxing. If you have dietary restrictions I may not recommend this resort.

Beautiful and impeccable resort. Incredible staff, friendly and welcoming. Great beach, good food (variety and quality) and easy to walk around, with gorgeous views all around. Rooms and pools are a bit outdated, but are very clean. Great getaway for a mature adult crowd.

This was our second time staying at El Dorado in Tulum and it was absolutely incredible as last time. The staff is very friendly, they work hard to maintain the grounds and the beach is incredible. Highly recommend!

felt like not many options for food, same selection everyday. have to wait ten minutes for an average hamburger. I tip well and felt like the service was understaffed and not very happy. Not well explained use of the hotel facilities. I would paid for butler or concierge service but don’t know if that was an opt? Room quality was poor, AC loud but covers noise from doors, toilets and furniture from rooms next door. Was locked out of room for several hours and took 5 trips to front desk to fix. Water to building was off at 4pm so no shower for diner reservations. When water was back on tub ran rust color water and was not taking a bath in that. Didn’t feel the premium suite was worth it.

Property was really nice. Workers were really nice. Food wasn’t as pleasing. Only good restaurant was Mia Casa. Me and my partner were so busy with excursions we didn’t get to stay at the property often. But there were little issues in our room that we didn’t get to fix till the end.

The staff was very nice. The grounds around the resort were beautiful, the buildings did show some age. The restaurants need attention we traveled with a group and had issues every time we attempted to go eat. We had very long wait times getting tables average time was 2-3 hours regardless of the time. Overall the staff was excellent I appreciated the fact they understood the importance of GREAT service.

Staff at this resort was very friendly and made activities enjoyable. There were lots of activities that were free to attend each day including crafts, games, and fitness. Food at the restaurants was delicious. Bracelets for the premium section were silly. They were cheaply made and broke frequently & the resort wanted to charge you $100 usd for replacements if lost. Thankfully they didn’t charge us for replacements when broken. Room service was very inconsistent. I ordered the same couple things repeatedly because I liked it the first time and it was never made the same way again. The room was nice but didn’t feel very clean due to stains all over the couches, tub, and bedding. Despite the bedding being changed daily, there were always stains. We also had a sticky ring on our table that stayed with us for most of the trip so I knew they weren’t wiping the table down. ALSO we provided a brand new, never used credit card as payment at the beginning of our trip. The next day we had fraudulent charges on our card when we hadn’t used it for anything else yet. No gas, no atm, NOTHING. Which left us with a sour taste off the bat. Overall the resort was decent. Beautiful beaches, good food, great people. Unfortunately the small things added up for us quickly and we probably won’t return.

Best property for the price

Amazing stay! We love this resort. This was our second time here. We actually liked it better now that Lomas manages it. We stayed here back in 2021 when it was managed by Karisma. Overall, we like all of the improvements. We felt like they are embracing the Mexican culture and brought in some nice entertainment, food, and cultural experiences that are more Mexican. The drink quality went down a little bit compared to when Karisma managed it but we thought the food quality went up. The service from the staff is impeccable. The property is older, but they keep it up and fix issues promptly. They even bought the property next-door and are growing palm trees and expanded the number of beach beds. We loved all of the activities and entertainment, and the spa was very relaxing. They added a beach barbecue towards the end of the property. The chef who runs it is from Argentina and it was amazing. We ate lunch there multiple times. We also loved the Mexican night on the beach. Love the late night tacos, the music, also love the lady who makes traditional Mexican food outside of the main buffet. Over the top awesome-We will definitely come back here again!
