Not worth the money

Pros: The hotel rooms were a nice size
Cons: Internet , food at restaurants , hot food at buffets , tv programming , check in had long line took awhile shouldn't happen
Location: Ok
A few things they could do better, Internet terrible then they want to charge you $15.00 a day for faster internet outrageous ! Food mediocre at best , two days we had to ask for face cloths , tv should have more American channels in English some of the wooden walkways were in disrepair , very dangerous when railings on walkway bridge rotten , a lot of walking to and from restaurants food cold a lot of times, money better spent on a cruise !

I am really sorry to comprehend that your stay in the resort was a disappointed experience. About the issues that you said in your trip report, I would like to mention that it is important for us as a hotel to know how and where we fall short and what we need to do to better meet our guests’ expectations. We are working every day in order to improve our services and we really appreciate all comments that help us to be a better hotel. While the staff at Palladium does their best to make sure that our guests have a great experience while with us, at times our efforts are not successful. I hope you could give us another opportunity and come back to let us show you the Palladium hospitality. If there is anything else that we can do for you, please do not hesitate to contact us. Best regards, David Calvo

Beautiful hotel that has everything

Pros: Food, friendly and helpful staff, so clean and immaculate. Full of native tropical plants and trees, you feel they really tried to preserve jungle.
Cons: Nothing really
Location: Close to a lot of excursions. Xel-Ha is a must! Also went to Tulum and Playa Del Carmen for short trips.
We went with another family, 7 in all and we all had a blast. First of all the hotel is massive with 4 different sections (Kantenah, Colonial, White Sands, Riviera). We stayed at the white sands. Kantenah and Colonial are closer to the sandy beach and White Sands and Riviera closer to rocky beach but are just a short walk through the beautifully landscaped resort. Wherever you stay, you can use the facilities of all of them. I suggest you take the Segway tour the first day. We took it on the last day and it was great but all of us thought it would have been better early on so we could get to know the resort better since it is do large. It takes you to all parts and with the big tires, you get to go on the beach too. As far as the sections, the Kantenah/Colonial main pool and beach had more going on as far as more people there, a kids pool/activity section, beach volleyball, etc. The other side was more laid back with more people just lounging at the pool or beach. We are a pretty active family with an 11 and 17 year old boy so if we went again we would stay at the Kantenah. Since it was so big, it was a little inconvenient to go back and forth from the room. The food was really good. Buffets and separate restaurants. All were good but buffets were really amazing. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Other than massive size (you can get lost), every aspect was superb.

Awful in every single category!

Cons: Nothing close, No free Internet, awful customer service, disgusting food
We spent 10 days at this hotel. Our friends had purchased the buy-in travel club and we were going ask guests. We were told that this entitles you to being treated like "royalty" and first class. Initially, we were excited by the photos and reviews. Within a few hours at the resort we realized that there would be issues that surfaced time and time again during our stay. Housekeeping was inconsistent. The first day we were there we had human hair (not ours) in the sheets. Our rooms were not always cleaned properly. The first night we were there the air conditioning broke down in the room. We were told that 74 degrees is the norm for all of the rooms and it doesn't get cooler. 74 degrees in a hotel is ridiculous and after sweating for much of the night we were finally moved to another room - at 11pm. The fridge was also broken. The second room also had a broken AC and fridge. They fixed the fridge and never could get the AC to work properly. Every time we tried to call the front desk for repairs or towels we got a busy signal. This was a theme and typically it meant that we would have to keep dialing - sometimes for up to 10 minutes just to get through to the front desk. We were most excited about the food. To say the least it was less than average. The Chinese/Asian was American Beef Stew called "Red Curry", the Ribs place was pre-cooked food straight from Sysco. Gross food and if you're going stay away from the "nice restaurants". There were nights that we waited 45 minutes for the train. When we asked for transporation in the golf cart (2 were idle) we were told that they were "out of battery." These were just a few of the issues - and every single time they would apologize but things would never get better. I have since corresponded with the "Director" and just like his staff - he apologizes and promises that "next time will be better." No thanks!!

Plenty available to do. BIG

Pros: Free breakfast
You do have to walk a bit but that isn't a bad thing. You eat a lot! Plenty for the kids of all ages to do. A little tricky to get around because it's big but after a day, you get to know to know where everything is.

I loved this hotel

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
I was very impressed with the White Sands hotel. It was so clean, fancy, quiet, and close to the beach. I am recommending this hotel to anyone going down to Mexico

Great but slippery flooring

Great place, but the flooring is polished marble everywhere which is slippery when wet. We had some rain and wet feet from pool. We slipped and fell. This took some of the enjoyment from the stay. Observed other guests slip and fall because of polished marble flooring.

beautiful resort

We just came back from Grand Palladium. Can not wait to come back. The best hotel we ever stayed in so far in Mexico. The places we weren't exactly satisfied with were: restaurants ( except Japanese) and beach. Overview: its very good.

Choose Grand Palladium White Sands!!!

Absolutely loved this resort! My husband and I stayed in the adult only section and had an amazing time. This resort is beautiful, has great entertainment, amazing food with wonderful staff, everything was great...pools and beach front awesome!. We have stayed at three all inclusive resorts and though we have thoroughly enjoyed them all, this is the one I want to go back to. Love it!!
