Book a hotel near The Neon Museum, Downtown Las Vegas

"The rooms were beautiful. The rooms were clean and friendly staff. When I walked out of my room, I had the best view of the back of the Las Vegas strip. I was shocked that the casino was huge. El Cortez is walking distance to other Downtown Fremont Experience hotels and casinos. The restaurants was very good as well. I recommend Hot Noods. My only complaint of the rooms was the water faucet for the showers. You have to find the sweet spot for the right temperature you want. Overall, I will stay here again. PLEASE KEEP THE SMOKING ROOMS. "

"Beautiful room- lovely view and very quiet!!! The pool was nice but the volume of the music was absolutely intolerable. It was ridiculously loud and inescapable. "

"This is a decent hotel in the Freemont area for the prices they charge. Outside the casino it doesn't smell smokey which is nice. Rooms- Pretty dated, stained carpets, mid comfort beds and pretty intense air conditioning system that really effected our sinuses ( we had to turn them off), showers were clean but hot water wasn't always that hot, lighting was super intense in the rooms (LED type) which wasn't pleasant. No USB plugs. Amenities- Cute pool but only 12 chaise chairs by the pool that were all taken. Other options were round "beds" with zero shade so you would just roast or a big area far away from the pool that were more chairs than relaxing chaise chairs and also zero shade. Being on the roof w this little shade made our visit up there pretty unpleasant and short. There was no food available when we were there. Food- There is a little cafe which isn't open all day and some vending machines. Cafe had good coffee and meh pastry options, no real breakfast or much that was healthy except some green bananas. No little store or anywhere to get misc. There was a hot dog spot in the casino and a bar/restaurant that was closed when we were there. Proximity to Freemont is great but the 2 blocks to get there were lined with really sketchy people doing drugs and didn't feel safe when it was quiet to walk. We had 3 rooms. 2 were quiet, 1 closer to Freemont was loud from the Freemont DJ booth blaring, "

"Booking through Expedia caused the property to only offer a smoking room to me. The room was also right above the music stage on Freemont street so it was very loud. Additionally the cost was $20+ more than what I was quoted as the "final price" on Expedia. Not good!"
