The heritage home, the central location downtown close to the canal, the Rideau Centre, the Byward Market, the cozy rooms, the decor, the wonderful staff, the breakfast...oh, the breakfast! I cannot recommend this place highly enough. My go-to from now on when visiting Ottawa!

"Service was great and accommodations were nice and roomy. Would have been nice if we had been warned about the construction before booking though. Lobby/restaurant were absolutely freezing!! We felt bad for the front desk staff working in coats and shivering behind heaters. "

"Everything about our stay was great. The hotel was busy because of Winterlude, but it never felt crowded. We enjoyed the pool, small sauna, hot tub and ping-pong in the games room. The rooms haven’t been updated décor-wise, but we actually found that nostalgic (hello, corded phone beside the toilet 😄). The beds were very comfortable, and the suite was spotless. Having a kitchenette was a real bonus since we have dietary restrictions and it saves having to eat out for every meal. I unfortunately forgot my Goldilocks pillow in the room and only realized once I was back home in Toronto, but the front desk staff were incredibly kind and accommodating and arranged to have it mailed to me. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Ottawa! "
