I was sceptic that this stay would go well based on the conflicting reviews. Check in was a breeze, I followed the email to the letter and had no issues finding the location or where to pickup the key. Once we went into the unit I was blown away but what an amazing view our unit had! Additionally it was very clean and well cared for. There were ample kitchen supplies to cook/serve basic meals.

WARNING! Hotels.com and the property booked was misleading! Hotels.com sent me a confirmation for the Elmwood Hotel with the address but the address was WRONG! It sent me to the Soho Hotel. When arrived to the Soho, the front desk they have had numerous guests who have complained about the same issue for a long time. I called hotels.com after a long day at a conference to try to figure out the correct address. It was raining and after walking 20 minutes with heavy luggage to the wrong location, I was provided a different location. I arrived and the location then charged me a damage fee, which was not told to me when I booked. Next to me at check in was a man who was also given the wrong address and was furious! Hotels.com and Elmwood, get must improve your service. I will not stay here again.

First of all don’t believe the address online, that’s a different hotel. You need to go to 14 York street. You need to pay the damage deposit in advance or you can’t get a key and have to call. The code they give you won’t work the first few times. When you get to the room, if you hear a constant beeping…it’s not the alarm, they forgot to take their sheets out of the drier. There’s no note to say what the WiFi is anywhere in the apartment. They assume you have data and can check your email. There’s no one on site to help you just have to email for help. Room was nice but misleading advertising lead to a Very frustrating experience.

DO NOT book this place. They lied about the address it’s a fake listed hotel. It’s not even a hotel it’s just at the ICE condo (which has a bad reputation) they’re renting short term and when u go the address listed the receptionist said that they are scamming. It took me over 3 hours to actually check in to this room and had to do it in the phone and with a $500 check in hold which sounded like a scam. The place is loud and not accurate to the photos. I requested to speak to someone to be compensated and the lady in the phone said that was not possible.

This is a nice unit in a condo but not a hotel. I don’t appreciate the false marketing. Room was nice in a great building but thermostat did not work (just for show), and it was certainly not a hotel. More transparency would be nice so a guest knows exactly what they’re getting into.

This hotel does not exist at the advertised address. It is a front for private condo rentals. It advertised one address and then I had to call to get the real address plus additional damage deposits separate from Expedia. I expected to be near my office but ended up being more than 1km away. Do not book here

The location was perfect, right across the street from the CN Tower and a short walk to both King St. and Queen St. The room was clean, spacious, as well as easy to check in and out of. The only (minor) issues of note were that the shower head kept leaking even when turned completely off, and there was no dishwasher soap. Other than that great stay, would recommend!
