It was an okay, overpriced rundown choice. Find if you're caught in a pinch but look for something else if you can.
Overall great hotel with great staff. We had a few issues that were handled promptly. My only disappointment was that we selected this hotel for the pool and children are no longer allowed in the pool after 9pm. That meant 6 families had to leave the pool for the one adult swimming. Not sure why ...
I lost my room key while at dinner last night. In a hotel I would get a another key to my room in one minute. Here, I had to call the Avalon management which was able to give me another room. Nice to get the room, but a nuisance not to just get a key to the room I had already had moved into.
Loved this place! Don’t stay here so there’s a room available when I need it :) So clean and comfortable. Pillows are a bit full for my taste but great vibe.
the hotel is near with everything. and all on walking distance..shopping dining entertainment..greyhound lol...but most of all what i love about this hotel is the staff...the front desk staff is so nice approachable helpful and knowledgeable...and the cleaning staff awesome.....and i love my room ...
Loved the fireplace and location esp! Desk was particularly helpful with helping me plan a good full day in town.
The property is a gem! The Jr. Suite is exactly as pictured on their website. We enjoyed all their gym, spa (the rooftop spas were scenic and the views were amazing- hellooooo Toronto!), pools and breakfast at The Grand. We could see St. Lawrence Market and CN Tower from our room. The front desk ...
Breakfast was terrible and should not be advertised as perk to stay there. Oddly enough the location was great. Some staff were very helpful. There younger staff members were not as helpful or really didn’t know what to do.
Very nice hotel in convenient location. Staff was very friendly. Room. Was very clean. It seemed like every time we turned around the room was cleaned and with fresh sheet and towels. Most hotels only do this once per day. Would definitely stay again.
