Hotel is definitely older, but, I found the flaws charming. The view stands up to any of the 4 star hotels that I've stayed at in the area. The parking is a definite plus, the staff if friendly and most importantly, the bed and room was clean.

Terrible and not worth the money

The rooms are so dated and dirty. Our bathroom door didnt close properly and the one window in the bedroom fell off the rails and could have fallen on my sons head or down to the ground below. The man at front desk was condescending and earwigs in the bathtub. It stunk like cigarettes when it's supposed to be no smoking in the room. Elevator was old and barely worked. Needs alot of updates, curtains and light shades ripped and rusted tub drains. Have pics but cant upload them.

Where hopes come to die.

I was warned from other reviews that I should expect old but clean. Old was the biggest understatement of the century. Everything was literally falling apart. Taps, mirrors, doors, beds, bedding, couch, chairs… “literally everything was broken or about to break. The sheets were stained. The couch was stained. Sleeping was almost impossible. The windows and balconies were not safe for kids. The front desk staff were very nice and friendly.

The building is very old. Upkeep and maintenance are severely lacking. Outside windows have not been cleaned in who knows how long. Sheets have holes in them. Moss is growing everywhere. Only two towels provided for three people in room. Cupboards were falling off. Mind you this is the cheapest hotel in downtown Vancouver so what can you expect.
