â We started in May 2021 and have received fantastic reviews this first season. Unfortunately, due to a change in administration, we had to change our account here and could not take the reviews. So we have added a few print pages from our previous guests and their experiences at Lemon Lodge.

What an amazing place to get away of daily life and connect with the beautiful landscapes and nature around Aljezur. Very impressed with the amenities available with it losing its authentic charm.

Remote place with an incredible view
This was absolutely an amazing stay. The set up of the whole area is super remote and beautiful. The tent was luxurious and felt like we were the only ones there. The view and sunset were incredible. The tent has everything you need, from towels, to extra warm blankets, toiletries, fully equiped kitchen and bbq. Highly recommend to stay in this amazing place.

Our kind of holiday
Absolutely loved the Glamping lodge. This is our way of holiday
Back in nature
Nice that the toilet was with water!
Will return definitely some day.
The only thing for this season, it would be nice if there was a kind of heater.
Of fire stove, but not sure if thatâs allowed in the wood
Weâre used to staying at eco-friendly and design focused places on Portugalâs country side and were really looking forward to this stay but it unfortunately left us disappointed. The lemon lodge did not live up to our expectations, based on their website, story, pictures, other reviews and price level.
The tent itself is primitive but nice, but the surroundings donât seem well taken care off, and far from the pictures showed on the website. A few examples:
- Lack of attention to details on-site, facilities dirty or broken, trash left on site (bags, water plastic cans etc)
- The claim of âeco-friendlyâ feels superficial. Thereâs no sorting of trash, no waste-water management and water from both the shower and sink runs straight out into nature with liquids, chemicals and whatever guests might have polluting nature straight outside. The products provided on-site are from Portugalâs main supermarketâs low price range - and not from local, Portuguese sustainable sources which we would expect from a place claiming âeco-friendlyâ.
- We expected a farmland, but in fact thereâs only a very small basic patch of a garden
Itâs an OK place if you want to stay off-grid close by Aljezur, but I think expectations must be managed better leaving less discrepancy between the story/pictures, price level and the actual place. This is not a rant about Lemon Lodge, and hope that the owners only see it as points of improvement.
