"les travaux liés à la construction du collège n''ont en rien noircis notre séjour au coeur de ce quartier ancien . Sommes restés sous le charme de cet appartement idéalement situé pour arpenter les nombreuses rues du quartier historique à toute heure (la ville à pied, végétation de folie). La visite del Castillo est incontournable et offre une vue imprenable sur la baie d''Alicante et permet de découvrir toits et terrasses. A 2 pas de la Basilique Santa maria à ne pas rater à l''heure de l''apéro pour déguster chez "mon café" une carafe de sangria avec la bonne humeur du patron! appartement top, très bien équipé, sublimement spacieux, merveilleusement lumineux .... nous avons hate d''y retourner."

"Un appartement vaste et ...

"Un appartement vaste et clair bien situé ; cependant les travaux de voirie et de construction d'un immeuble distant de quelques mètres, et dont nous n'avions pas été informés, génèrent une réelle nuisance. Par ailleurs l'appartement n'a pas "été refait à neuf" mais repeint et il apparaît vétuste par bien des aspects (huisseries, lavabo, éléments de cuisine...) ; de même la peinture des murs du couloir de la partie commune s'effrite nettement. Certes "la vue en biais sur la mer" existe, mais elle apparaît bien réduite et les fenêtres donnent surtout sur des grues, des rochers tagés ou des murs bien peu engageants. Et que dire des "œuvres d'art contemporain"... Enfin la moitié du montant total de la location a été exigée en guise d'arrhes, la caution a été demandée en espèces (ce que nous avons refusé) et le propriétaire nous a fait signer un contrat avec certaines clauses qui semblent abusives comme le droit de venir faire une inspection des lieux à tout moment de la journée pour vérifier si le locataire n'abuse pas du chauffage ou de la climatisation."

"This is a very special a...

"This is a very special apartment indeed. The rooms are vast, the ceilings high and the walls are dotted with some marvellous modern paintings. It is beautifully quiet and yet within walking distance there are so many unpretentious but excellent restaurants that you could eat in a different one every day for three months and still not discover them all. The uncrowded beaches with magnificently clear seawater are only a short stroll away. I'm not one to return anywhere as there's always somewhere new to find. But, this time, I plan to return."

"We had the feeling, once...

"We had the feeling, once we got there that we were one of the first people to rent this lovely flat. It feels so new and well kept. It's a tremendous appartment, well located in what we call in Spanish "El Barrio" area (Old part of Alicante). It is so well decorated!!!. The choice of soft colours made us feel really "at home"... The equipment is pretty well chosen... Good job that this owner let us chare his belongings, as it's just the right place to be. It was fairly hot there, but we knew what we wanted after such a tough winter. Having a serious look at guides, it seems that high temperatures, there, seem to last very long (According to what we heard, up to December, you can reach 25°) The flat is about 5mn walk from the main beach, and there are plenty of things to visit around. Alicante itself is a pretty rich city, in an architecture way, and the surroundings (Mountains, sea, valleys...)combine such variations of views, that you seem to miss time to discover it all. Therefore, we are planning an other fortnight there very shortly... (We'd better book early before this flat gets too well known...) We were between friends, there, but it is the right choice for a family of 4 or 5. Do not miss it. A good oppotunity at fair prices... "
