This property is located 4 miles from Gunstock Ski area in the heart of the Lakes Region. It is a four season destination. Be as active as you want or nestle by the fire. Some of things to do include water sports of all kind, golfing, skiing, hiking, crass country skiing, snowmobiling etc.


Located in the heart of the Lakes Region Just 25 minutes off interstate 93 Minutes to Gunstock Mountain and Lake Winnipesaukee. This secluded home has an in-ground pool and expansive decks for those that want stay home and enjoy the breathtaking view. Gunstock Mountain has skiing, tubing, cross country skiing and snow shoeing just 4 miles away. Lake Winnipesaukee has boating, jet skiing, fishing, swimming etc. just minutes away. This home has an open floor plan, massive field stone fireplace and is a great place to gather with family and friends. With two matching master suites it is ideal for two families sharing vacation time.

My experience was not ideal. I had no comms for 2 hours with the host upon asking 1)the property manager 2) the man owner and 3) the woman owner for the correct wi-fi password. It got resolved but then I had these things happen during my stay:Counters and table were dirty, I have proof, so I had to clean everything and wash dishes BEFORE using them. I had to wipe down microwave and coffee maker because they were drily. Then I found old, moldy grounds in the coffee maker. I found no hand towels and no washcloths so I had to go buy them myself. I found the beds unmade, so I had to make them, but first I had to wash the sheets and bath towels because they smelled stale. The washing machine wouldn’t work and it’s because the hot water shut-offf valve had to be turned on, which isn’t normal. Between cleaning and washing laundry, I spent a few hours on this project, not to mention the shopping for linens. I found only 3 rolls of toilet paper in the house and 2 rolls of paper towels. I also find it interesting that there are no beach towels for a property that boasts a pool and a hot tub, so I had to buy those as well. The old info in their online doc the owner sent though the app had the wrong sized coffee filters and stated that there wouldn’t be any on prem, so I bought some and then found out that they were wrong about the size, and they actually were provided. I suggest a thorough cleaning of this kitchen and dusting of the whole house. I suggest decent pillows/linens.

Beds unmade and they’re made in the online listing.
Spartan supplies, lumpy pillows, torn mattress pads, thin, mis-matched sheets, only one blanket per bed. All smelled stale and I had to wash them.
No hand towels or washcloths. No extra toilet paper.

The Lone Tree Lodge was perfect for gathering with our family. The home is spacious and had everything we could want for a wonderful summer week together. The Lodge had everything we needed for cooking and dining together. The beds were comfortable. The pool and hot tub were a hit as was the pool table. The view is stunning and the property private and quiet. We enjoyed hiking Mt Major just down the road and kayaking at Alton Bay. Thank you so much to the hosts for a wonderful stay!

Excellent stay. Especially enjoyed pool and hot tub. Nice amount of space for 2 families. Central air was a lifesaver during heatwave. Kitchen very well stocked. Recommend updating listing as there is no longer a ping pong table and the firepit is in a different spot with rocks/boulders for seats. There were some ants upstairs which the property manager immediately addressed. Overall everything was great.

Lone Tree Lodge was the perfect house for our girls weekend away. The entire grounds was so well kept, the pool was clean & not cold at all (even on our first rainy day) and the inside of the house was impeccable. So cozy & inviting! So much room for all of us too!

Excellent Family Vacation Home

Beautiful and Private, a very open and spacious home. We had plenty of room when we wanted to be all together but also there was plenty of room to spread out as well. We had two small toddlers with us and there was plenty of room for them to play and move around safely. Everything was clean and organized and our directions were clear and we had everything we needed. We hope to come back again for another family vacation in the future.

Multi-Family Generation Summer Vacation

Spectacular Property

We did our annual summer family vacation at this stunning property in July - 6 adults and 2 teens - plenty of space for us! The views from the deck are amazing and the house has everything you could possibly need. It is private and quiet and situated on a beautiful piece of property overlooking the lake. The pool, hot tub and outdoor shower are amazing - the beds are comfortable - the kitchen is fully stocked - and the downstairs game room has ping pong and pool for indoor fun. Troy - the property manager - was really helpful with anything we needed during our stay. We look forward to coming back!

Great place for two families!

This is our second trip to this spot! The two identical masters are an ideal set up for two families on vacation. The location is great with proximity to a lot, but also feels like a true getaway. We absolutely loved the pool in the house was comfortable for all 10 of us. Our kids already want to come back!

Relaxing getaway!

Wonderful location and property! Our family of five vacationed here with one other family of five and the property was perfectly suited to our needs. Dual master suites as well as dual bunk rooms for the kids was perfect! The pool was absolutely ideal for all ages (our kids were 4-10 years old) and was heated enough to make it still comfortable in upper 70 degree temps with some clouds. We played board games, completed multiple puzzles, went out for ice cream and a jaunt to the lake, swam in the pool for the afternoons, hiked a local trail, and otherwise just enjoyed the beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. Loved this place all around! Thanks Larry!

Amazing home!

This was our second time staying at the lone tree lodge and we love this property. The home is beautiful and very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped and has plenty of space to put your food, drinks, etc. The pool and hot tub are awesome. The property manager is also very responsive and helpful for any questions. The driveway is steep so it's a good idea to plan ahead with cars. We had 6 cars and were fine, and if you need more space there is a pull off halfway up the drive where you could leave a few cars too.

Fantastic

Perfect get away for two families with adult children. Plenty of space, plenty of beds, plenty of things to do. We did not have to leave the property for anything- we were able to just be together and have fun. Everything you need is there even the pool floats. Will definitely rent again.
