The Neighborhood: Midtown is one of Atlanta's oldest neighborhoods. It's a unique mix of homes and apartments, close to offices, conference centers, and Georgia Tech. This is a very walkable area of the city, offering visitors dozens of food and entertainment options within a few minutes walk. It is also walking distance to Piedmont Park, Beltline Atlanta, and Ponce City Market. Feel free to check out our guidebook for additional recommendations.
Getting Around: Ideal transportation is walking, biking, or using Lyft/Uber. North Avenue MARTA train station is less than a mile away. This neighborhood is very walk-able. Midtown also has electric scooters and bike rentals all over the city using apps Lime and Bird.
Interaction with Guests: Contactless passcode entry, but host is available 24/7.
This is an excellent location. The state of the property was an issue for us because we have young kids. Otherwise this property would be great for a quick stay if it's near your planned activities in town.
We had a wonderful time in Atlanta! This property was close to everything and was a safe, clean, and comfortable place to rest our heads after exploring the city. The host had great communication and we would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay while in the area.
Check-in easy. Good sized unit. Sheets and linens clean. Bathroom is nice, looks like it was recently renovated. Ample dishes, glasses, and cookware in the kitchen. Musty smell in the unit which aggravated some with allergies. We arrived late and the entrance is VERY dark. One evening we came back and the TV had turned itself on and was playing crazy music at 80 volume (none of even touched the remote). The following evening, the owner had guests who parked in the driveway, essentially blocking our access to the unit. We had to walk through brush to get in and out of the unit. Street parking is ample as long as there are no events going on at Piedmont park and you must be able to parallel park. The driveway walk up is steep which could be a problem for some.
I definitely recommend staying at this house. It looks to have gone through a significant remodel recently and it was very well done. The neighborhood is great as well. All 3 of our guests really liked the beds/bedding. We come to the area every 2 years and will definitely look to see if this one is available next time. Access to downtown is very easy. Our UBER rides were about $6 to $8 each way.
