The house is a nice heritage property in a lovely part of Auckland. Having the Ponsonby Road so close is really good and the leafy back streets are lovely. The kitchen's a bit small, so not a place to imagine extravagant home cooked meals but the bedrooms are all spacious and comfortable. This property is hosted by a management company called Houst - which makes the interactions with the host a bit clunky. We had to change plans because of Cyclone Gabrielle and they were slow to respond - but it all worked out well in the end and Cyclones are not a day to day problem.
Clean house with lovely big and comfortable bedrooms. Host was very quick to reply when contacted with queries and sent a message checking how we were after the big Auckland flood. During the flooding we reported a leak from the old fireplace in the bathroom- nothing done about it but so much major damage in Auckland from floods that this leak would have low priority. Kitchen only fits 1 person . Not evident from photos . It suited us however as lovely range of food options close by. Great place to stay.
The location and bedrooms were great and we really enjoyed our stay. HoweverâŠThe kitchen was too small for 4 people and no instructions on how to make the hot plate work which made the facilities very limited . Also listing says there are basic breakfast supplies - there was absolutely nothing in the way of food and no black tea bags or coffee plunger . Found that disappointing as it is an easy standard thing to supply
No issues.
Great location. Central with easy access to motorways and other amenities.
Fuse blew? Timer on electricity? Couldnât find board... dishwasher, WiFi, etc no longer worked.
