Getting Around:
Location logistics: About a 5-minute drive to the Bullock Texas State History Museum, the Texas Toy Museum & Arcade, and Mayfield Park and Nature Preserve.
As we first walked thru the property, we were struck by how colorful and tasteful the decor was, impressed by how vastly roomy and clean the whole place was, and we really enjoyed the main kitchen common area, and upstairs porch common area. It was truly a surprise to find such a perfect set up for our group of friends to enjoy being in their own space, and yet altogether, right in the middle of Austin.
The bands were comfy, and the common areas in the kitchen and upstairs sunroom were cozy and inviting. However, the hallways were not inviting and were a bit creepy with all the dark colors. One room upstairs did not have hot water in the shower. We loved the themed Bedrooms.
Perfect for gathering friends and family together! Enough space to step away and have some alone time. Fire safety system is impressive. Each room has its own air system allowing for temperature control. May have some sound proofing because even with being loud others sleeping did not hear the group.
Fourteen women met in Austin to celebrate a milestone birthday, and this was the perfect place to stay! The house is spacious and has plenty of beds and baths to accomodate a large crowd. The decorations are really cute and bring a fun and Austin-y feel to the house. The location was also great - we were able to walk to several of our activities, which was really convenient and fun.
We come to Austin every year for a water polo tournament and need to host about 18 to 20 people every year. This has been the best house that weâve stayed at and we hope to be able to come back next year. The hosts were awesome, and when we had a few special requests, they were very accommodating and understanding..
We were a group of 19 there for a family reunion.
The entire place was exactly as pictured. We had some seniors with us so were very careful about "room assignment" since there were tubs in certain rooms. We had some small issues but they were dealt with immediately. We appreciated the ability to have an early check-in and late check-out. Wonderful to have parking. This location was close to everything we wanted to do.
We did wish there was a TV in the kitchen area, which is the only common area large enough for all of us. We had to watch Stanley Cup finals on a laptop.
Overall, great stay and would highly recommend
Our crew was 5 adult siblings and their families (plus a grandma) and this place was prefect. The suites are massive and can easily fit kids and adults. The house was modern and very clean. The location is close to lots of stuff, we never drove more than 15 mins. The property manager was super responsive on the one small thing we needed help with.
If you have a large crew and everyone wants very comfy sleeping arrangements, this is definitely the spot.
