Hotel experience was pleasant from (almost) start to finish. Lets say from check-in to checkout. The 1 snag was more Google maps related: Having entered the hotel's address, I was directed to a parking garage 150m away, on the opposite end of a "pedestrian only" walking street. The hotel may want to double check and ensure directions to THEIR parking garage. But once I was in the lobby it was a thoroughly pleasant experience. I arrived at noon, but was immediately ha ded my room key, which I did not expect. The room was nice, modern, with wood (laminate?) Flooring. My brother, staying just 4 rooms down the hall had carpet. Breakfast selection was fantastic, though not negatively overwhelming. Well presented and kept fresh. Wait staff was omnipresent. Indoor pool and shower area was clean, neat, pleasant and much welcomed after a lot of walking! The "muesli treat" for declining daily housekeeping is a cute incentive- and tasted great! The lobby bar is on the small side. Cozy. Good drinks. I will be back! (Thats a promise, not a threat)

There was a construction site on the 3rd floor and the hotel gave a room exactly in the 3rd floor among all the other rooms. The receptionist didn't inform of the circumstances. There was no information at all except the notice in A4 in the elevator. However, the reality was even worse. The first thing in the 3rd floor was the extreme chemical smell, the grey protection carpet and no indication where to find the rooms! That was far below the class of any kind of commercial hotels. You cannot accommodate human beings in this kind of conditions! After a short complaint, the receptionist gave a room in a different floor immediately. Then why not giving the room from the beginning in the first place?!? As frequent business traveller, I expected some quality from the hotel chain! no smile or friendly greeting including the cleaning personnel...

Mixed experience.

Booking my room was problematic, which resulted in unnecessary confusion at check-in. Check-out also was unnecessary problematic, with an incorrect bill. That all said, the hotel corrected all issues, but patience was needed. The pool was closed. Breakfast was nice and had all the items one would want. The hotel is in the center of things and the park opposite was lovely to walk after a busy day at work. My room was large, comfortable and had plenty of natural light. The shower wasn't great, as it was never hot enough. I would stay again, if no other options available.
