19 Tontiki is an upmarket and modern, first floor, self-catering apartment. The complex is situated on the Ballito beachfront and offers direct and private access to the beach and the promenade, as well as being within walking distance to various restaurants and shops. The unit overlooks the swimming pool and has partial sea views from the patio and all bedrooms. The patio is semi enclosed and is protected from the wind and rain so you can still enjoy your braai on the patio in bad weather. Please check all relevant photos of the unit.
19 Tontiki can accommodate up to 6 guests, and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, and living area. This unit is ideal for families and is NOT SUITABLE FOR PARTY OR BACHELOR GROUPS. It is managed by a strict body corporate and loud noise levels and over crowding will not be tolerated for the comfort of other tenants.
The main bedroom contains a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, basin and toilet. This room is air-conditioned and features a small safe for valuables. The second and third bedrooms each contain 2 single beds that can be converted to a king-size bed and a ceiling fan. These 2 rooms share a second bathroom with a bath, shower, basin and toilet.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a stove, oven and hob, a fridge-freezer, a microwave, cutlery and crockery, and cooking utensils. In addition, there is a washing machine. The lounge features a flat-screen smart TV. The lounge leads out onto a private patio which overlooks the pool. The balcony has a large gas braai, and outside furniture which comfortably seats 6. Please note no fire braai's allowed.
The complex is very safe and secure and access is via remote control. The complex has a swimming pool that guests' can make use of. A covered parking bay is available, as well as extra visitors parking.
I have hot flashes so it was important to have central air. It was not clear from the listing that there was no central air just a tiny unit in one bedroom that did little to cool the apartment. The agent was rude and very unhelpful- My son and I left the property after just 2 days- We had paid for a full 5 day stay, but she refused to reimburse any part of the money paid. Very poor customer service skills.
Wir hatten diese Wohnung im August fĂŒr 8 NĂ€chte gebucht und waren als EuropĂ€er positiv ĂŒberrascht ĂŒber die Ausstattung und den zusĂ€tzlichen Service durch einen Reinigungsdienst. Gegen dieses Land ist Deutschland eine Service-WĂŒste.In der Wohnung fehlt es an Nichts, die technischen GerĂ€te haben einen hohen Stand und ein Ordner mit den notwendigen ErklĂ€rungen ist vorhanden. FĂŒr die Stromabschaltungen gibt es eine aufladbare Lampe. GrundsĂ€tzlich sollte man vor Stromabschaltungen keine Angst in SĂŒdafrika haben, unproblematisch.. Auf der windgeschĂŒtzten Terrasse lĂ€sst es sich wunderbar frĂŒhstĂŒcken und grillen, denn es ist ein sehr guter Grill vorhanden, der auch noch am nĂ€chsten Morgen vom Reinigunsservice gesĂ€ubert wird. Die Wohnung liegt in dem Haus nicht direkt am Strand, sonder im hinteren Bereich mit Meerblick. Dies hatte fĂŒr aber auch 2 Vorteile:
1. Nutzbar auch bei Regen oder starken Wind
2. Ca. 50 ⏠pro Nacht preiswerter.
Bei dieser schönen Wohnung stimmt das Preis-/LeistungsverhĂ€ltnis und wir können fĂŒr den Abschluss einer Afrikareise nur empfehlen.
