We had a really nice stay here. Everything clean except for what appeared to be some ground stains near the toilet. Nice option to use the #1 roam bus to get downtown. Spacious rooms and comfy beds! Balcony is a nice addition.

Great value, clean room

We stayed in the Swiss Village part of the hotel. We were happy with the cleanliness of the room and really liked the hotel's rooftop hot-pool. Perfect temperature to spend as much time in it as you like.  I'd be happy to go back.

Hmmm dated....

I'm sure this place was great in the 80's when they last decorated or did renos. We didn't mind much because we were only there to sleep but wow could use some updating for the price. Far from the centre of Banff, 10 dollar taxi ride from dinner and a really cold walk in. Extremely loud you could hear everything that happened in the hallways. Not going to stay here again!

No air condition! But there is a fan!

Front desk are helpful and quick. The things bother me are big tour buses running their engine loud enough to wake me up 6:15 am every day. And no air condition is ok for some days not for a hot day.

Cons: too many buses parked around hotel
Location: terrible parking stalls

Great Rooms

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
The rooms were great for a very reasonable price! Everything is close by. Restaurants and shops. My kids really enjoyed the outdoor pool. Beautiful view of the mountains!

Nice views.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
I like the fact that it was on the main strip, but at the beginning, opposite of downtown where it was a bit quieter. I enjoyed the 15/20 min walk into town, but if you were in a rush, could catch the Roam bus system right out front of the hotel! Staff was friendly and helpful. They were, however ripping up carpets and replacing them during the day, but I guess that's the price you pay for when they decide to do upgrades.

Not as bad as it seems

Stayed at the Inns at the end of June 2007. Bottom line, if you are strapped for cash & don't take a lot of vacations, find somewhere else. If not, the view and the outdoor hot pool ALONE make up for it. Rooms are surely old. No air conditioning (mainly a winter resort, after all), but could have used it on an unseasonably warm Canadian day. Fixtures and furniture are dated. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Very few open outlets. Motel is in need of new management; just a few dollars invested in new things would make this place top rate... and worth the price they are currently asking. \n\nBest pillows I've laid my head on in years! I wanted to steal them.\n\nTwo restaurants; one western and one oriental (ie, no continental breakfast). I sensed a bit of anti-american (military) sentiment by staff as reflected in the quality of service, but the food was great. Breakfast buffet in the morning, fairly reasonable in price.\n\nAgain, if you are a couple like us spending a lot of hard earned money on 1 or 2 vacations a year, take the time to research more motels in Banff. You'll find much better for the same price. If money isn't a problem & you rarely spend time at a motel anyway, Inns is for you! If you are in between, remember the outdoor pool and the view to make up your mind!

My visit to Banff

We really enjoyed the outdoor hot pool. I expected a bit more for the money that we paid. The Swiss Village needs a good renovation.

Need improvement

I staied two night. Worthest service ever, this is all I can say.1)If you saty this hotel, and need internet connection, well, you need wireless. I called and asked but never told I need own divise... no internet for three days.2)If you saty more than one day, they won't change the bed sheets unless you ask for it, even it lookes very dirty. they didn't clean my coffee maker either.3)The fridge dosen't work. I called in and said it won't like a real fridge, just cold air...4)The front desk is not helpful at all
