Come sit on the porch, listen to the waves and enjoy an amazing view of Seal Harbor! Take a dip at the beach, walk the trails of Acadia National Park just 1.9 miles to the Jordan Pond House for some tea and popovers or just enjoy a book on the porch! This newly renovated house is on the "quiet side" of the park, in an adorable harbor community and a short drive to the bustle of the Bar Harbor Shops! Amenities include full service eat in kitchen with SS appliances and granite counters, a spacious dining room with room for 8, Livingroom with massive working fireplace and a day bed overlooking the water and loads of windows! There are 4 comfortable bedrooms upstairs, master with a king bed, BR # 2 had a double bed, #3 has three single beds, #4 has one single bed. One full bath on each level. Washer/dryer/laundry room is attached to the house and is hared with the quest cottage. All linens and towels provided. A smaller one bedroom cottage on the property sleeps 3 and is also available. This property is just 5 minutes from Wildwood Stables. Perfect for equestrian groups!

Perfect location
The location of this lovely home is spectacular if you plan to spend time in Acadia National Park. We were able to see Seal Harbor from our front porch and bed rooms and could easily walk to Seal Harbor beach. We loved having coffee on the large porch in the mornings, and enjoyed evenings in front of the stone fireplace. The house is well equipped with all the basics. The beds are comfortable, and although there is only 1 shower downstairs, my family of 7 managed without any problems. We arrived the same night as Hurricane Lee, but our host worked with us to ensure safe and easy access. We did lose power for one day (not bad for a hurricane), but we were able to cook on the gas stove and had light enough for games from the fireplace. We never felt threatened with flooding even being so close to the water. The one thing I would caution is that there is no cell service at this property without Wi-Fi. (Note that this is true of a vast majority of areas we visited in Maine.) This is not a problem unless there is no electricity at the house and also not a problem unless a member of your party plans to work remotely while on vacation. Would we return to this property? In a heartbeat! As for the area, Bar Harbor is a very easy drive of 20 minutes, and Northeast Harbor and Southwest Harbor were also easily accessed. Beals’ lobster rolls were amazing. The hiking, beaches, and sunset at Cadillac Mountain (which now requires pre-made reservations), made for great memories.

Welcome to your home away from home! The home was cozy, comfortable, and convenient! The kitchen is large and well stocked with cookware. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of bath towels for the family. There is a washer/dryer which helped us to not overpack. The Host was kind, cooperative and extremely responsive to any questions or needs. The location was amazing, you could not ask for more breath taking views. What a wonderful late November getaway🍁🦃

Charming farmhouse with great open kitchen. Excellent location for Stanley Brook entrance to park with Seal Harbor views. Good light from larger windows. Internet was appreciated.

Older home with a great location.
The musty smell of this older home was gone after a few hours with the windows open. Excellent location with a sandy beach just across the street. It's also a couple of hundred feet from the park entrance. The semi private road connects to trails that lead to Jordan Pond. Good mattresses and magnificent fireplace.

Spectacular views
This was our first trip to Maine and Acadia did not disappoint! The scenery and tranquility (even in the midst of the summer busy season) was so lovely. We enjoyed the beautiful views of Seal Harbor from the covered front porch every morning. Sitting out there with a cup of coffee and listening to the sounds of the harbor was a great way to start the day! The location was awesome - about 15 minutes to the action in Bar Harbor and so close to all the Acadia hikes and vistas. We also enjoyed a fire in the gorgeous fire place in the family room at the end of a long day - firewood provided! We were able to show up with our clothes and food and everything else was provided! We also appreciated that our dog could join us on vacation! Couple things to note about the house - there was no TV provided and there is only one shower in the house. The upstairs bathroom has a tub only. We managed with only the one shower for our group and the kids enjoyed the bath in the clawfoot tub. As for TV, we were there to be outdoors so it was not a huge deal, but my 80 year old stepfather couldn’t always join us and would have appreciated TV as an option.

House was great, four bedrooms accommodated 8 adults. Beach across street was easy walk across lawn. Entrance to Loop trail at Acadia nation park was100 yards down road, could ride bikes from the house.

A perfect stay!
This cottage has it all. Excellent location, soaker tub, warm fireplace stocked with firewood, and plenty of resources to find things to do. There are several great hikes that start in walking distance of the property, and it’s a short drive to bar harbor or anywhere else. Everything you would want from a Maine cottage!
