Great apartment in a very well maintained development. Lovely balcony with loads of space. Nothing between you and the sea. 3 minutes walk for the train into Barcelona but the train noise can hardly be heard in the appartment, and not at all in the living room and front bedroom. Apoartment was well equipped and very clean. Good info provided by owner. Would highly recommend this property

Marvelous Vacation Property

My wife and I absolutely loved this bit of paradise on the Catalunya coast. Set almost directly on the water, it provides a 180-degree view of the Mediterranean Sea, with waves crashing day and night on the rocky shore. It's just a short walk to/from the train station, making it easy to get into Barcelona or up the shore to the Costa Brava. (Despite the proximity of the tracks to the apartment, we never heard the trains go by.) The apartment is exceptionally clean and a great size for two or four people, nicely appointed and equipped with everything you need for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It was too cold during our stay to use the pool(s), but we did walk just a short distance up the promenade to Pins Mar, a very nice oceanfront restaurant just a stone's throw away. Lots of other great restaurants are nearby at the marina, and there's a fabulous small market just a short walk up the hill in the village. Check-in was a snap, and Jose has thought of everything to make his guests feel welcome and comfortable. We definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to experience more than a hotel room in Barcelona and get out and see the rest of Catalunya. Five stars all the way!

Lovely comfortable convenient apartment

‱ The listing description was accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities, etc. The apartment handbook provided after booking is very comprehensive and covers everything you need to know. ‱ The property was clean and well-maintained, as were the gardens and pools. ‱ The owner Jose provided good customer service both before and after arrival. We did need to contact him a couple of times about wi-fi and hot-water issues but these questions were speedily answered. ‱ I would very much recommend this property if you are looking for a beachfront apartment in this area. The balcony is stunning as you are virtually sat above the sea. This does mean that you can hear the sea in the balcony bedroom at all times. My wife loved this, but it might disturb others. ‱ My wife and I very much liked the area. My wife was off swimming in the sea every day, the beach being a 5 minute walk away. There is a good choice of restaurants within walking distance of the apartment. ‱ We particularly liked the railway station being so close and we used the local trains to travel both locally and wider afield to Barcelona and Tarragona. Cheap and frequent trains enable you to explore bars and restaurants in neighbouring communities without having to drive, ‱ We shopped at the Lidl in Arenys de Mar which is an easy 5 minute drive away. ‱ Minor issues? If you sleep in bedroom 2 with the window open there is a certain amount of train and road noise (I didn’t mind this at all as the trains were so useful!). Also we found the wifi would only support attaching 2 devices and would regularly drop out for a few minutes, but the connection would always come back on. ‱ All in all we really enjoyed our stay. Many thanks Jose for allowing us to stay in your lovely apartment. (This review is based on a 2 week stay in June 2016 by an English couple in their 60's).

TrÚs bon séjour

Tous est fait pour ĂȘtre dans les meilleurs dispositions. L'appartement est parfait et la copropriĂ©tĂ© trĂšs bien entretenue. Un peu loin de Barcelone mais facile d'accĂšs par le train, la gare est Ă  2 minutes Ă  pied de l'appartement.

La vue, surtout la vue

Le vrai plus de cet appartement est la vue sur la mer, et un calme permanent puisqu'il n'y a qu'un passage piĂ©ton entre le jardin et la grande bleue. C'est un vrai privilĂšge de s'endormir et de se rĂ©veiller au son du bruit des vagues. La rĂ©sidence et les piscines sont bien entretenues Pour le reste nous avons trouvĂ© l’appartement dans un Ă©tat de propretĂ© approximatif, les ustensiles de cuisine sont insuffisants et dans un trĂšs mauvais Ă©tat (poĂȘles gondolĂ©es, manque de couverts...) Les canapĂ©s sont dĂ©foncĂ©s, les transats Ă©taient cassĂ©s. Vrai point positif, la literie de la chambre principale est excellente. Point nĂ©gatif, la seconde chambre donne sur la route et les trains. Elle est extrĂȘmement bruyante et comme il n'y a pas de clim, on suffoque. Une remise en Ă©tat devient nĂ©cessaire pour redorer le blason de ce chouette appartement.

Highly Recommended

The apartment was exactly as described in the offer: spacious, very clean, conveniently located 45 minutes train ride to Barcelona, fine dining restaurants are just few minutes walk away, as well as bars and entertainment. Our host Jose was responding within minutes to all our questions, sometimes silly ones. The only thing that, in my opinion need improvement are bath and shower tub. Both of them are very slippery, and I'm sure there are several options to fix that. Thank you Jose for your hospitality!

Excellent apartment - excellent host

The apartment is excellent. The window looking out to the sea is truly wonderful. We arrived earlier than expected. Jose was able to arrange the key holder to arrive at the apartment at short notice to give us our keys. Overall, a 10 out of 10. A return visit defo on the cards. Thanks Jose.

Splendide et confortable appartement ****

Splendide et confortable appartement, trÚs bien situé, avec une vue magnifique sur la mer. L'appartement est trÚs agréable et la résidence est bien entretenue avec un trÚs beau jardin et le gardien est trÚs sympathique. La gare est à cÎté et nous a permis d'aller plusieurs fois à Barcelone sans prendre la voiture. Jose a pensé à tout, y compris un manuel explicatif, et nous a fait sentir les bienvenus. Je le recommande

Small City Escape From Barcelona

This location is a nugget of gold. It's a short walk from the train station with a convenient ride to the center of Barcelona or toward Girona. The apartment is clean, well-furnished and has a great view of the ocean. The manager is a professional and was quick to respond in all situations. I would recommend this property without hesitancy to anyone seeking a vacation destination away from the big city.

Great property right on the Mediterranean 45 min north of Barcelona!

Perfect for a family of four or anyone who wants to visit Barcelona without being in the heart of the city. Train is within easy walking distance and it’s a 45 minute train ride to downtown Barcelona. Great property in great condition.

Nice appartment, great location

The appartment is spacious and has a great view over the Mediterranean sea (bring binoculars to spot ships). It was clean, bathrooms were good and beds were ok. Only downside is the noise of the road and railroad on the back of the appartment but if you keep the windows closed it is no problem. The front side is very quiet. You only hear the sea. The terrace furniture was a bit unsturdy and the frying pan seemed to have been used in combat. Other than that we didn't find anything wrong. There is a large swimming pool in the well kept garden and the beach is a three minute walk from the appartment. The harbour is another three minutes away and you find a number of restaurants there. We found three golf courses nearby. The immediate vicinity isn't very picturesque but there is and there are no shops in walking distance but you can take the train to Barcelona from the station next to the appartment and there is that amazing ocean view..

Amazing apartment

We were very satisfied with the apartment. It is an amazing sea view from the balcony. Jose was very friendly and if we had some questions, then he replied immediately. The apartment was very equipped. We can only give our absolutely best recommendations.

Resting to the sound of rolling waves ...

We had a most enjoyable 2 weeks at Jose's place. Literally on the beach and 2 minutes walk to the train station that will take you to all the sights of Barcelona. Nice spacious apartment with everything you need for self catering, Comfortable beds (pillows could have been better), good wifi, an excellent balcony overlooking the sea, the beach and the nearby CNEB yacht club. We couldn't have wished for more :)

Sauberes, gerĂ€umiges Appartement mit großem Balkon und ĂŒberkompletter Ausstattung. Kontakt via e-mail mit dem sehr freundlichen Vermieter jederzeit rasch möglich, SchlĂŒsselĂŒbernahme und -rĂŒckgabe durch den Hausmeister völlig problemlos. Sehr nett fand ich eine Tasse "From Guest to Guest", die dort eingerichtet ist, damit nicht jeder Mieter wieder eine PfeffermĂŒhle, Salz und Zucker kaufen muss. Zentralheizung und Warmwasser werden durch Gastherme betrieben. 180° Meerblick und Meeresrauschen vor dem Fenster, 200 Fußmeter zur Schnellbahnstation nach Barcelona (45 min). Seit April 2018 Glasfaser-Internet, auch Streaming der ZDF-Mediathek in bester QualitĂ€t ruckelfrei möglich.

Lindo piso, buena ubicaciĂłn y bien equipado *****

Piso renovado, muy limpio y con preciosas vistas del mar y de los amaneceres. La cocina moderna y muy bien equipada. Los baños tambien renovados, bien iluminados y con unas duchas para disfrutar. El salón no tan moderno, pero ok. La ubicación es bastante tranquila, cerca de la estación del tren y de algunos restaurantes. Si algo falta son supermercados, aunque el mini-market cercano a la estación nos sacó de apuros el primer día. Vinimos sin coche y nos movilizamos con el tren sin problemas. El servicio y la comunicación con el propietario funcionó de maravillas. Gracias José por recibirnos, pensamos regresar.

Best vacation ever!

We loved staying at Jose's apartment on the Mediterranean! The place was immaculate, equipped with everything we needed. Each morning we woke up and had sunshine on the beautiful waters of the sea outside our window and sitting on the porch. Some days we just hung around the area with nice beach and very good restaurants. Other times we spent the day in Barcelona. Jose was extremely helpful - we arrived late at night the day of our arrival and took the wrong train. He called a taxi for us to get us to the place since there were no more trains. When we left at the end of our trip, he arranged transportation to the nearby town Mataro in order to catch an early train to get to the airport. Many thanks Jose!
