Stayed at the Novotel during the Berlin Marathon. Great location - close to transit and grocery store. Generously sized rooms. Good breakfast buffet. Nice staff. I’d recommend and stay again.

Unfortunately we could not complete our reservation because of police work in the area -and we had to be evacuated. While the front desk was open to questions and to the best of their ability the staff was trying to help, I think there was a lack of protocol for these situations. The hotel told us that we were getting a refund

We travel and stay in hotels a lot and my one criticism is that in the room there is nowhere to sit and do your hair. If you want to use straighteners for example you’ve had it!! There’s a plug socket above the chest of drawers but no mirror. There’s a mirror in between the wardrobe…..but no socket! There’s also no socket in the bathroom, only a shaver point. More consideration should be given to guests needs!

The hotel is very nice, and the rooms are comfortable. They have everything you need for a good stay. The location is very good, as you can walk to many areas of the city, and public transportation is also very close. Several buses stop at the same street, and there are metro stations nearby. The breakfast is worth the extra charge. It's varied and abundant, perfect for starting the day with a boost of energy. The staff was very friendly and responded to our questions promptly and efficiently. We would definitely come back.

Staff: Very friendly and helpful staff. I want to especially thank the Front Office Manager, Claudia E. for the assortment of snacks and drinks she provided to us after having to deal with the soap/shampoo holder falling off the shower wall (it was worn out) and the faulty hair dryer. Food options: The breakfast buffet was really good and had a good variety. Each day there were some changes in food selection with let my family try out items they never had before. Bed comfort: The beds, including the sofa bed, were comfy and clean. Fitness room: Was a bit small but had decent set of equipment. Although the exercise bike didn’t work, the other equipments were functioning well. For some reason the water dispenser was always out, but the staff was good with bringing a crate full of glass bottled water. Transportation: Hotel was right next to the trams and bus stops. There was a U-Bahn a short walk as well which we used to go to Potsdamplatz area. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
