Do not rent this place. Dark, dingy, nasty, in need of repair. Mice under house in crawl space. Glue traps in kitchen. Owner has notes all over. 20 per stained towel. 25 if you leave any garbage at all. Not a true heater in this place. We left after 3 days and it was booked for 12. I left my ID in the cabinet and the owner told me it would be 15 to mail it to me. PLEASE DONT RENT!
The cabin is a lot more run down than the pictures taken. There is also no AC which is my fault for not checking but the heater is permanently on. All of the issues a previous reviewers stated are in fact not fixed. There are dangerous boards leading up as the walkway. There was a dead christmas tree in the front lawn and some pots toppled over. Most windows arent able to stay open without a bar. The top to toilet is cracked. The shower has mold. Overall needs a lot of work and a deep clean. Also thereâs two signs which feel a bit nuts but one is a 20 charge for each stained towel and 25 per bag of trash if you donât take it across town to the dump site.
First, the good. It was easy to check-in. The cabin was cleaned well, and it is pet friendly. There are fans in every room. Now the bad. This property might be ok for young adults, but it wasn't a good fit for an older couple. Parking is sloped on small rocks that are difficult to walk on. Then you walk up "steps" made out of concrete retaining wall blocks to unstable wooden planks. The planks cover dried weeds and dirt full of gopher holes. Once you enter the cabin, you see the "new" wood laminate floor that needs to be replaced. There is no air conditioning and the cabin gets uncomfortably hot. The windows are difficult to open, and the front window wouldn't close. We had to kill ants in the bathroom and kitchen. The clean floors quickly became dirty and there was no broom or vacuum. We spilled water and had to use a bath towel to wipe it up since we were out of paper towels after killing ants. The towel was filthy. Then we read the note that says we will be charged 25 for each stained towel. I just hope the towel comes clean after it's washed. Overall, I would not stay here again. However, I can see the cabin working for young adults on a budget who just want a place to shower and sleep while enjoying a ski trip.
Staying in this cute little home so close to the slopes was perfect for me & my dog. Everything was super smoothly & easy & the host was available when I had any questions.
Stay was just okay. Had to email the property manager 3 times before I got check in info. Cabin needs a deep clean. There were dusty items and the floor wasnât clean under furniture. Bathroom also needs a deep clean. Faucets had water stains and tub had mold stains. There were unsafe boards to walk on up to the front stairs of the cabin. Wonât stay again.
We really enjoyed this cute little cabin! Perfect location at the bottom of Bear Mountain Resort! Easy to cut up backside to park! We wish theyâre were at least one extra space heater because it was a cold weekend!
