Big Sky Vacation Rentals: MV Leaf Lodge

Perched on the mountain slopes and surrounded by lush evergreens, this private 5,000 sq ft Big Sky estate is luxury mountain living at its finest, yet conveniently only a 10 minute stroll to the hub of Big Sky, Mountain Village.

The home caters very well to several families coming together in Big Sky seeking a secluded setting near the resort amenities. From the warmth of the open plan living area and the cozy bonus room to the sunny decks, hot tub, and outdoor fire pit nestled in the trees, Leaf Lodge offers multiple living spaces and plenty of opportunities to gather with friends and family. Cooking is a dream in the well-stocked, high-end kitchen and the grand dining room has mountain views from every seat, a perfect setting for many memorable meals around the table.

This special home is family-friendly with great bunk rooms for the kids, a bonus room stocked with board games and air hockey and plenty of outdoor space to build a snowman. Start prepping for a fun-filled Big Sky Montana vacation.

Leaf Lodge is only a short stroll from the action of Big Sky Mountain Village and Base area. A central and convenient Big Sky location that is not only ski-in/ski-out but puts you in the heart of Big Sky with year-round activities, attractions, and mountain events a stone’s throw away. This private and secluded estate offers the best of both worlds in Big Sky and only 45 minutes from the splendor of Yellowstone National Park.

The Moonlight Club has made the decision to prohibit access to guests of all vacation rental homes. The lounge and other amenities are solely for the use of the member, and guest memberships are no longer offered.

Ski Access:

This property is ski-in/ski-out to Big Sky Resort. Access is suitable for all levels of skiers and snowboarders, although ski-in can be difficult for children and snowboarders and it may be easier to pick up in the drop off areas.

Ski Out:
Walk out the garage and look down to the left for an opening in the snowbank. At the opening, turn to the left and you will see a downhill slope. Head down that slope and take that all the way down the trail until you see the Thunderwolf high-speed quad.
Please note you will need a lift ticket to ride this lift.

Ski In:
True Expert skiers- Take War Dance or Mine Shaft trails to Low Dog Road. Intermediate skiers will take Silverknife to Bear Back Poma and ski past the bottom of the Poma on the ski trail to Low Dog Road. From here ski the road back to the house. We recommend beginners ski to the Summit Hotel and walk out the front of the hotel and ski the road the whole way back down to Low Dog Road. Silverknife may be too steep for beginners.
Please note that this home relies on the road for ski access and that if the coverage on the road is insufficient or melts off it will not be possible to ski in. Ski out is still possible with a very short walk. inquire for details. Freeskier parking is available in the Big Sky base area and is only a short 2 minute drive away.

The host was amazing through the pre-stay and stay process. Great communication and follow up. The home was well appointed, beds and bedding clean and comfortable. Large hot tub, steam shower, and fireplace all appreciated! The kitchen had everything we needed for the gourmet meals we prepared. Ski-out to the bottom or Thunder Wolf is an easy green run for a competent skier/boarder. Ski-in also easy if Low Dog Rd has enough snow. More challenging ski-in via War Dance with enough snow.

Perfect stay!

We had a group of 9 and the house was perfect! Plenty of space to spread out. Well appointed kitchen with plenty of room for a group to cook. Lots of seating throughout. Location was perfect for our crew since we could all ski out whenever we wanted! We even had a few foxes visit during our stay!

.beautiful surroundings

Super house and great location
.only reason for loosing a star was because we had four occurrences over four days of the water being shut off. This was very inconvenient
.each instance taking between 1 and 2 hours to resolve. This was due to an issue with an electronic sensor
finally disconnected after the fourth occurrence. A small credit would have been expected. You do not expect repeated issues like this at premium prices.

Great place

Great location and great amenities. Only downside is the hot water heater is undersized for the house. Everything else is amazing with a nice kitchen and plenty of space. Ski out is super easy but ski in is a short ski/ride down the road. Not a problem for adults but a little tricky with small kids.

What a family blast!

This house was everything plus more of what I expected. This was definitely a place that everyone had their own place/space to get away, but at the end of the day we gather together to play family games and eat. The grandkids specially enjoyed seeing the wildlife right outside the windows.

Fantastic place

Only negatives: - Hot water seemed to go out quickly so not everyone got hot showers - Ski-in via a ski run is basically impossible unless there is a TON of snow as it is a very steep, very heavily wooded run. Our expert skiers tried multiple times and got lost and said it was too difficult anyway. Ski-in via the road is tough but doable. We were there when snow wasn't great so there was a narrow ski lane that went over driveways that you have to take. Any more days of warm weather and the snow on the driveways would be further melted and getting across was tough - Walking to the village from the house is almost a mile, uphill on an icy 2 lane road - 2 rolls of paper towels was not great However, everything else was awesome and the house was great. We would def stay here again

We stayed for one week with our 4 adult children and had a great experience. The property was in a great location near Big Sky Resort and close to the town of Big Sky and all of the outdoor activities we were looking for. Management company was excellent with an easy check-in and out process. I would definitely rent from this group again.

Incredible slope-side home

I stayed here for a week in Feb 2021 with a group of 10 friends (3 couples, 4 singles) and we had a blast! The perks of this house are too numerous to count -- the location is amazing (2 min drive / 10 min walk to Mountain Village), the ski access is great (ski-in / ski-out off Low Dog trail), and the house itself is unbelievable. The hot tub was clean, HOT and perfect after a long day of skiing. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped, and there is a great grill right outside. We loved the house so much that we ended up cooking at home almost every night during the week instead of going out. I highly recommend this place for a group trip and would gladly go back again! Big Sky Vacation Rentals is the local management company and they were friendly, responsive and helpful. They provided regular updates as we got closer to the trip and they were available throughout the week for minor questions and concerns.

Excellent Family Gathering Location

This house is awesome. Probably the best stocked kitchen I have ever stayed at. They also had extras like garbage bags and soap for laundry and dishes. Everything was easy - check in and check out. The fireplace was my favorite !! We had roaring fires every evening after skiing. There were 13 of us and we all fit - there was space for everyone. We also enjoyed all the games provided and had nightly chess games.

Nice location, well equipped spacious home. TV was missing from living room was a nuisance as you could not watch tv without disturbing others. Sheets smelled and were wrinkled, suspect they were not changed for our stay
