Cozy family cottage in Úthlíð near Golden Circle

Relax with the whole family or friends at this peaceful place in Úthlíð nearby the Golden Circle. The cottage offers a delightful blend of coziness, nature, convenience of location and is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. It is an ideal retreat for a memorable Icelandic getaway.
The cottage is in a closed area, the service center in ÚthlĂ­Ă° has a restaurant and bar. Locations close by: Þingvellir, Gullfoss, Geysir, Laugarvatn, Fontana Spa, Efsti-Dalur, Reykholt, FriĂ°heimar, FlĂșĂ°ir

The cottage is 75m2, family friendly with a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ grill, bathroom with shower and hot tub (new since June 2024).
It has 4 small bedrooms and with the 5th bedroom in the sleeping attic.

The cottage is 2 units connected with a hallway. In one end there are the bedrooms and bathroom and in the other end the living room and kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped and tableware for 12 persons + tableware for children. Above the kitchen there is a "play & enjoy" attic where you will find some toys for kids and a cozy place to chill and read a book!
In the hallway you have the front door to the patio and the back door to the hot tub & backyard. Around the cottage is a 120m2 patio in all directions except to the west side. Patio in the back is new since June 2024.

Examples of size: Fits very nicely up to 8 adults or two families (4 adults+kids).

You will have full access to the entire cottage, access to the hot tub and outdoor furniture as well as a private 6 basket frisbee golf court in the backyard.

During the winter time (November-April) it is mandatory for you to have a 4x4 car to be able to get to the cottage, the area can get heavy snow and icey roads. The roads in the cottage area are cleared on Thursdays and Sundays but the parking lot is not cleared.

This was a fabulous home to start our adventures in Iceland. The place has everything you need and the two loft areas were enjoyed by my children quite a bit. We appreciated that it was quiet and a bit more secluded. The directions were easy to find the place. There is a sulfur smell with hot water from the tap - so remember to run the cold water for a bit longer before you take a drink. The hot tub was a real plus of this location and it was such a treat after a long day of exploring Iceland. Highly recommend this place!

Die HĂŒtte ist fĂŒr 4 Personen gerĂ€umig genug, jeder hat sein eigenes Schlafzimmer. Von der Einrichtung her ist alles vorhanden, was man fĂŒr einen mehrtĂ€gigen Aufenthalt benötigt, sogar Waschmaschine und Trockner. Genervt haben nur die KriebelmĂŒcken.

so beautiful wooden house with full equipments, anything you need will be found in house. my kids so much enjoy playing trampoline and hot tub. location is so close to golden circle, very convenient for travelling. highly recommended for family with kids.

New, extremely clean, very roomy, well-stocked kitchen. Hot tub in back is giant plus. We only had 2 nites here. Wish we had booked 3 or 4.

Beautiful place, great location

This place was awesome! Lovely, cozy and close to several fabulous sites. We should have added extra days at this location given how convenient it is. I especially loved returning after one adventure to find sheep nibbling in the bushes right beside the front porch! Also, the host was very quick to reply and super helpful.
