Private Country Getaway 20 minutes from downtown Louisville, KY

Enjoy staying at this spacious modern home located in a private wooded country setting. Only 20 minutes from downtown Louisville this is a great spot if you are visiting for Derby, the Bourbon-Trail, concerts, sporting events, family reunions, work events, and so much more! Large open floor plan and a large fully finished basement with a full bar that opens up to the pool. There is a grill, large flat screen TV's, a hot tub, stocked kitchen, and plenty of space to relax and spread out.

The pool will be closed between the middle of October and the middle of April. Please ask about opening the pool for any dates outside of this range. Weather permitting and additional seasonal pricing will determine pool availability.

This house has high highs and low lows. Overall, it was not what we expected based on the pictures and reviews. The pros: the pool is fantastic (heated with an automatic cover), the decor of the home is welcoming and relaxing, and there is plenty of room for a family or group. The host (Dustin) was polite and communicated well. The cons: the house needs some significant maintenance. The thermostat display is broken, so you can’t properly regulate the temperature in the house. The roof is leaking through the ceiling in the primary bedroom, which dripped water on the floor and made it hot/humid in the bedroom during storms. There are exposed wires sticking out of the walls where a doorbell should be and in the basement. The faucet handles for the soaking tub in the primary bedroom are improperly installed, so you have to hold the base or else the entire fixture spins. The grill’s grease trap appears to have never been cleaned. The oven smells like burnt food any time you cook.
You can see the water damage from the roof leak, and the right side is actively leaking.

Enjoyable vacation spot. House is in a secluded area in the hills. House was nice and spacious. Be aware that the house is split level with stairs both directions. Not suited for someone with balance or walking concerns. Stairs going in the house and a rock front walk with spaces between the rocks. Pool was very nice.

Borden Indiana Family Reunion

We had four adult siblings and one spouse, all 70 years of age, who stayed overnight in the house. Our adult children and grandchildren flew in from throughout the country and stayed in nearby hotels and visited with us during the day. The house itself was ideal! Our adult kids and grandkids loved the pool and the finished basement. This included a game room with double doors opening to the pool and patio.The kitchen area, family room, bedrooms, and all areas of the house were great!My only concern was the entrance/exit areas. There is a front door, backdoor, patio door, and a garage door. All of these have steps but no handrail. This was a significant inconvenience for the five 70 year-old adults.

Perfect family getaway

We had a great time at this property. The house is really cool and the different levels makes it fun for a family to have their own space. Everything is very clean and organized. The pool is nice and I didn’t even realize there’s a hot tub which we used a lot. The owner, Dustin, is wonderful and on top of things. This is one of those places that we would definitely come back to!

Had a guys weekend golfing and bourbon tasting. perfect place to relax each evening. house is awesome and not too far from most places you want to go. i strongly recommend Starlight Distillery for bourbon and entertainment for an afternoon.

Going above and beyond!

This was our annual Girl Trip. Dustin made it amazing by helping us with the pool and airing up our floats in advance. Communication was easy and efficient with the owner. The property was clean and made us all feel at home. Absolutely recommend to all!

All in one stay!

This property has it all for families with tween kids and young parents and grandma and gramps! While at home there is plenty to keep you occupied or just sit and relax and enjoy the scenery! The pool is a great addition for the down time, everyone was in the pool! There were 3 different grills to use and my son in law loved to be able to try the green egg! Quick trip to downtown to explore and partake in the great restaurants, the speakeasy, museums and paddle boats and most of all the distilleries, come on 
 the bourbon!! Had a great time, didn’t disappoint!

Wonderful family vacation spot.

Spent 4 nights with our kids and grandkids. Great setup with a wonderful basement leading out to the pool area. Sizable master suite with 3 additional bedrooms on main floor. Big back yard for the kids. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything necessary to prepare all meals. Communication with Dustin was good. Very private and rustic area however short trip to stores you might need. Short trip to downtown Louisville.

Secluded home and pool

We enjoyed our time swimming in the pool and hanging around the pool area. The home is definitely more of an adult get away, not the greatest w small kids and the open stairs/railings. Far enough away from the city that there was lots of peace and quiet. Close enough to take a 20 min drive and be downtown. Enjoyed our week!

Friends Extended Weekend Getaway

The house was stunning. The property was well maintained and clean, made it easy to feel at home. Included all of the comforts of home and then some. The property is just secluded enough and just a hop and a skip away from about anything you need. Dustin was incredibly easy to work with and super responsive. A Great Get A Way
