The Fisherman's Escape - Sauna & Steam Shower

Escape to an immersive and captivating outdoor experience at Vedder River Cabin with private river access! Our cozy riverfront guesthouse has all the amenities you need to relax. From the sauna to the steam shower, sounds from the nearby Chilliwack River and evenings by the fire, you`ll find everything you need to recharge. Activities including fishing, hiking, rafting, mountain biking, and dirt biking all just minutes away, you`ll have plenty of opportunities to explore.

Located in the Chilliwack River Valley, you and your guest(s) will have your own space and privacy for a relaxing retreat. Enjoy the views of the soaring mountains from the large windows and 2 sliding doors. Lots of natural light as the guesthouse is south facing.

Built with beauty and charm this unique cabin comes fully equipped with a fridge, stove & oven, toaster, kettle, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, air fryer, dishwasher and stocked with the essential cooking tools, plates, glasses & cutlery. Tea, coffee, water and basic spices are provided. In case it’s needed, please find a first aid kit and fire extinguisher in the kitchen.

The cabin comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 2 children, or 3 adults - the sofa bed is about the size of a double so it might be a bit too tight for 4 adults to share the cabin. The bedroom has a Spring Air queen mattress and a separate zoned heat & AC unit. The side tables on each side of the bed provide power sockets and USB charging ports to conveniently charge all your devices. We are not set up for infants as unfortunately there is no room to accommodate cribs.

The 3 piece washroom includes a smart bidet toilet with heated seat. The shower has a handheld shower / rain shower and steam shower. Complimentary toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, body wash and make-up remover) fresh towels, hair dryer and eucalyptus pucks for the steam shower are provided.

Living space has designated work area or can be used as a dining table, electric fireplace, TV, sofa that can be turned into double bed (pillows and blankets are stored in the ottoman). This area also has a separate zoned heat and AC unit.

The Western Red Cedar Barrel sauna has a large window overlooking the river with views of the Chilliwack River Valley Mountains.

Guests have full access to the cabin, including the cedar barrel sauna and firepit. Guests are also welcome to access the Chilliwack River just across the property line; however, please be aware that the river can be hazardous, and you do so at your own risk.

Easy Access to all of the FSR`s & trailheads for hiking in the Chilliwack River Valley

1. The cabin is located 300ft from the Chilliwack river. Please remember that the river can be very dangerous and that any activities undertaken such as kayaking, cold plunges or swimming should be done under the supervision of experienced professionals.
2. There is another residence at the top of the property which may be used by the owner.
4. Firewood is provided up to a certain amount and then if you need more, please bring your own. Campfires are only permitted when there is no fire ban in effect (check online to make sure its safe and legal).
5. Most people will lose cell service heading to the cabin. There is high speed Wi-Fi on the property and we encourage everyone to turn on Wi-Fi calling prior to getting here.
6. Please note that the property has well water so it`s best to drink from the provided water cooler.
7. In the rare event there is a power outage, the cabin does not have a backup generator which means that no lights, water or toilets will work until power is restored. If an outage does occur due to a severe storm, it is usually resolved within 4-6 hours.
Maximum parking capacity is 2 cars
Sauna can be used at your leisure and takes only 30-60 minutes to warm up; we just ask that you respect the electricity usage and avoid wasting power.
Outdoor noise should be respectfully controlled after 10pm
Our bathroom is equipped with a luxurious bidet seat and remote. The Abode is on a septic system so where possible minimize the disposal of toilet paper and ABSOLUTELY no other products can be flushed down the toilet (garbage receptacle is provided)
