They put me in a lower class room than the one I paid for and wouldn’t fund the the difference It was a roof cable room, and I banged my head on the ceiling and cut my scalp. Terrible service. Would not recommend it.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Brussels. Exceptional breakfast, and the most comfortable bed we slept on in Europe. Gorgeous bathrooms, attention to detail, and the hotel smells like a dream.

This was our second stay. We had a not so great experience at another hotel and moved our last night in Brussels to Hotel Juliana. And as always we had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous hotel. 5 Stars. Breakfast and dinner are worth staying for too. Thank you.

Great hotel, let down a little by bad maintainance

We had a great stay overall but there were several small things that got in the way of it being perfect. We were upgraded on check in to a very nice room but it was a twin bed even though the hotel does not advertise having twin rooms. Having one in a suite is just weird anyway, I can’t imagine there is much demand for that. When we asked staff to rectify this by joining it together they did not even tell us if they tried. When I questioned them about this they offered to move us. We were of course then downgraded significantly but the first room they gave us had a broken safe. This meant we had to move rooms again to an even smaller room. When I complained about the broken safe the man at the front desk was rude and said there was no maintenance on site so we would have to either accept the broken safe and wait for a repair or move to another room. We chose to move. We also noticed the hammam had to be manually turned on by staff who were not there and seemed too lazy to turn it on. We came back later in the week and were given a room that stank of smoke. The hotel were very good about this and upgraded us to a lovely room which was much nicer. This second stay was perfect save for the fact we were told we could use the spa showers on checkout. However the private one was broken so we ended up not being able to use them.

You get out in an entrance to a square. When you walk into the square there are 6 white building all looking the same. You can not see a hotel name or sign anywhere. We were accosted crossing f the square and a gold chain was tore off my neck. And I still don’t know where the lobby was. We had to retreat and phone for an escort.

While the staff was great, our room was very, very small, and dark (no overhead lights). Further, we had no internet (we were told it did not work on the 3rd floor). Oddly, no washcloths in the room. While the food was good, the hotel bar ran out of Bourbon. One further complaint. The hotel is located on a plaza that did not permit cars. When we arrived it was raining, and we had a 5 minute walk in heavy rain to get to the hotel. We later learned that one could call the hotel to have the traffic barriers removed.
