How close is Pagenkopf House on the Madison River to downtown Cameron?
Views from the home were beautiful, house had problems. We were not informed that the house was under renovation. We were told the deck was being replaced and might not be finished, but the deck was not new. None of the windows in the house had coverings....bathrooms and bedrooms included. Sun came up early and stayed out late. If you can't sleep with light in the room you are in trouble. There were a couple of "trip hazards". The back deck, there was no distinction between the higher deck and the lower. All the boards run in the same direction and same color. Two of our group actually fell because of this. This is very dangerous. Also the raised rock around the wood stove in the living room has sharp corners and is higher than the floor. There is a "critter" underneath the house below the 2nd bedroom that scratches all night and kept the people trying to sleep there awake. There were a couple of lamps in the living room that had no where to plug them in. There is no place to be able to "unpack" your clothes or hang clothes up. The dressers in the bedrooms were full as were any closets in the house. Door between the 2nd bedroom and their bath does not close. The bath in the "master bedroom" is strange. Sink inside the bedroom and the shower/toilet area is extremely small. The shower was so tiny you could hardly move in it. Showerhead also was very loose. Kitchen items were not very clean. Gravel road to the house. There was one pod of dishwasher soap.
