I recently stayed at the Grand Oasis in Cancun, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff was unhelpful, disorganized, and at times outright rude. Basic requests were either ignored or met with attitude, and it often felt like guests were more of an inconvenience than a priority. The condition of the rooms was equally disappointing. Our room was poorly maintained, with outdated furniture, noticeable wear and tear, and cleanliness that fell far below expectations. There were issues with basic amenities, and it was clear that proper upkeep is not a priority at this property. For a destination like Cancun, where there are so many excellent resorts available, this level of neglect is unacceptable. Overall, I would not recommend the Grand Oasis to anyone. Between the poor service and subpar room conditions, it simply does not deliver the experience it promises. I will definitely not be returning, and I strongly encourage others to consider alternative hotels in Cancun.

The place was ok, the room was outdated, hard to get reservation for the restaurant, if you get late to your reservation they wont let you in, food was ok, long lines for dinner, we had to take down the beach chairs from the pool and there wasn't barely any shade, the staffs were nice a d friendly. The beach was my favorite place had a great time there.

I am disappointed with my stay. Never going back.The toilet in our room was leaking, the air conditioner was dripping water onto the floor and the door to the balcony was really difficult to open since it had no handle on it. It was really difficult to get seating by the pool and it seemed that they were either overbooked or simply neglected to place more chairs out by the pool to accommodate capacity. The excuse that there is not enough space is not valid as they could easily fit an extra row of chairs along the entire length of the pool. If you wanted to get a chair by the pool you’d have to get there well before 7 am to try and reserve your chair… and even that didn’t always guarantee you a spot. One of the days during our stay, we got to the pool around 8:30am and not a single chair was available. We saw a group of employees with a pile of lounge chairs and asked if they could place two by the pool deck to which they said no because there “was no room”… they told us they would be placing them on the beach. We decided to try sitting by the beach but that same employee ended up kicking us off the chair for an unknown reason and only ended up seating us maybe 20 feet away from our original spot because we kept asking why. Odd. Long lines for food and drinks, bars always backed up. difficult to get new towels. Reservations hard to get in the restaurants. We went in the last week of February, I cannot imagine how much worse this will get during peak spring break season.

Food was horrible and I’m not a picky eater. The steak house and Italian restaurant are by reservation and out of 6 days we could only get in to the steak house once. Staff at check in and concierge were rude and acted like they really didn’t like Americans. It makes a real difference if you have a pyramid bracelet or an oasis bracelet. If you had the oasis bracelet there was a lot you couldn’t do or get in to. Tried to upgrade base on what the app said and they told us no. We will never be back.

Our room was clean even though a bit dated. They provided housekeeping daily and restocked everything which was nice. Overall the staff was cery nice and helpful. We did find it a bit difficult to get oriented with the resort due to the size, but this also afforded a very nice selection of restaurants and pools. We would caution against the "leisure club" sales pitch, seems to be a staple here.

Room we’re really old . No one to show us the way to the rooms. Drinks we bad if you had a blue band . Half the resort was cut offf due to having a blue band. No music. Not enough chairs a lot of us had to sit on the ground just not good all around

The room was full of mold and I have pictures. I want a refund. The mold was everywhere and the room smelled like Meldew and wet. When I ask about changing the room they said there was nothing they could till I had put on a complaint and Expedia reach out to them and they sent someone to insopext they tried to take the moldy mat without me know and promise to change my room in 20 minutes. They never did. I end my trip early because I was getting sick sraying in that room. If this ant be resolve I am going to have to go the legal route. I do not want vouchers or credit. I didn’t use vouchers or credit to pay you. I expect a full refund. I will be reaching out to the attorney general and BBB as well to show them the pictures and how may complaints I have put in and yet no one has reached out. This was the worst stay ever. I have been to Mexico plenty of times and I always had a good time. This was the worst trip ever. I will not ever use Expedia again cause the treat your different and I will not be going g back to Mexico. This left a bad taste in my mouth

The person that checked us in was extremely slow and explained nothing to us about the resort and how things worked. The resort is very old and in need of much work. They have multiple pools but not enough chairs or loungers for the guest and the allow people to put towels out to save chairs. They advertise 10 restraints but there actually about 5 restaurants 2 of which require reservations and when we tried to make one they were booked out 2 days past our check out date 1 that would cut of wait list 2 hours after opening in order to serve everyone and close on time, and the other 2 were below average buffets with some foods being cold or barely warm and and the rest were food stands. They didn’t clean our room one day or leave towels. We asked for towels at 2:30 and had to request multiple more times and finally got towels at 9:45PM. The refrigerator in our room didn’t work. They don’t have enough staff to man all the areas so service is definitely lacking. This vacation was a hot mess and I would never recommend this resort !
