Castlepoint stay

The house was exactly as described. The set up was very good, bedrooms had space and were comfortable.The living area was spacious.Appliances were adequate.The deck area was good.The weather was excellent in general.Two suggestions:-Firstly would be a heat pump for the house which could obviously be used for a/c when needed.The second is while the beach is very close the way down is quite difficult for an older person.

Loving this place!

Our property manager, Paula, was exceptionally helpful after we created an issue on Bookabach with our email address. She went out of her way and reduced the self-induced stress.The property was great, just a one minute stroll across the grass to the beach. The house was clean and very cosy.A great base for taking the iconic sunrise and Milky Way pictures over the lighthouse.Highly recommend this property.

Castlepoint get away

A great place to stay couldn't be better. We were so lucky with the weather. It was supposed to be bad but it was perfect.. if we could we'd come back every year but at 76 and 83yrs and unable to walk without walking frames, it would probably be impracticable. Also, we couldn't reach up to the shower head so managed with basin washes. However, that's our lives there days, we manage.

Great place to stay, great location. nice and clean. Only set back was it was super hot with no aircon, windows couldn’t be left open when out as no latches so very hard to cool house down!

A perfect spot to enjoy Castlepoint

A lovely modern little bach, definitely an upgrade from many of the more ‘quaint’ kiwi beach’s along the Castlepoint foreshore! I loved the view of the lighthouse and beach access and the kitchen was really well appointed to make cooking easy. My only suggestion would be to add a clothesline and pegs aAs the wind kept running away with the togs and towels we draped over the balcony 😂

Little Bach

This bach was clean, tidy, fresh and modern and had everything we needed. It was great being able to walk through the grass on the section in front and be straight on the beack. We loved the sound of the beach being so close when we arrived.

Great Getaway and Perfect Location

We're a family of two Gen Xers and four teenage kids. It was our first visit to Castlepoint and we were blown away by the whole area with plenty to see and do from boogie boarding the sand dunes, watching the kite surfers, sitting up at the lighthouse at night, watching the seals come into shore, fishing off the rocks, swimming in the lagoon or scaling Castle Rock. Rain provided some nice down time and the fish and chips on Thursday were outstanding. The property itself is basic but really comfortable, no wifi (which was part of the 'getaway' plan) and a cool place to connect with each other instead. Host communication was awesome throughout. The only thing that stopped it being 5 stars was that there was no laundry facilities, something that by day 3 we were starting to miss. Other than that, a great stay in a great bach in a cool spot. Highly recommend 🙂

Stunning house and beautiful location

Such a beautiful Bach. Lots of room and a gorgeous view of Castlepoint. Amenities were good and a great shower. Plenty of garden furniture and good BBQ on a spacious deck. Paula had brilliant communication with us and replied to messages very quickly. Will definitely stay again.
