Nonna Maria's house is located in a small corner of paradise called Ognina, one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Catania; the apartment has just been renovated and has a splendid terrace overlooking the Port of Ognina where you can enjoy the sunset while having a drink. The house has a living room with kitchenette, two bedrooms with en suite bathroom, laundry, private parking for mopeds, panoramic terrace: it can comfortably accommodate 4 people, children are welcome staying up to 2 years free of charge one per room, or with supplement in the double sofa bed in the living room.

Wonderful home-away-from-home

We absolutely loved being part of the local community and situated right across from the marina. We were <5min walkable from many restaurants and 10-15 min from a supermarket and a beach/solarium. We got to experience authentic neighborhood sicilian food and hospitality. Everything and everyone were wonderful!

Clean, modern, good value

Fantastic restaurants within walking distance. Parking can tricky on weekends …friendly atmosphere. Check out the rooftop deck -the first picture on listing is across the way -but u can have the same view up top! Great host and very responsive -would stay again.

Kein ruhiger Ort- sehr laut und ungemütlich

In der Beschreibung heißt es "man könne den Sonnenuntergang auf der Panoramaterrasse genießen", veröffentlicht sind ausschließlich Bilder mit Blick auf den Jachthafen. Nicht erwähnt ist, dass auf der anderen Seite der Dachterrasse in nur 25 Meter Entfernung direkt eine vier-spurige, viel befahrene Straße entlang läuft. Die damit verbundene Lautstärke macht das Sitzen auf der Dachterrasse unmöglich. Zudem gibt es eine weitere von Autos und Motorrädern viel frequentierte Straße direkt vor dem Haus, die in ca. 200 Meter Entfernung zu einer Partylocation führt. Von dem Lärm der Gäste und der Musik wird man jede Nacht bis 3 Uhr belästigt und eines der Schlafzimmer ist dadurch gar nicht nutzbar. Wegen Lärmbelästigung und Schlafmangel haben wir daher die Unterkunft nach nur 3 Tagen verlassen müssen.
