Tranquil family friendly Trullo With Own Pool And Close To The Adriatic
Trulli delle Rondini is traditional stone building set in 10 tranquil hectares of olives and fruit trees. It will sleep six comfortably in the 3 air-conditioned bedrooms. Unlike many trullo complexes it boasts a spacious living area with arched stone ceilings which blend well with the fully exposed traditional stone work of the original trulli building. It has a well appointed, fully equipped modern kitchen and dining area. Fast, reliable wifi is provided by Starlink. Outside there is plentiful seating and areas for dining, sunbathing and, importantly in the summer, shading. The 13x5m pool is surrounded by ample terracing and its close proximity to the building make supervising children easier. Alfresco dining is a must in the warmer months and is further enhanced as night falls as the property is enchantingly lit up. It is within easy driving distance of Ceglie Messapica and its many restaurants and the most well known city of Ostuni.
The house is wonderfully located for enjoying peace, nice bedrooms and living areas with a shaded terrace for meals, and a beautiful swimming pool. However, the cleaning could be improved, some stoves were "out of date", and there were some minor maintenance defaults. A safety box to secure valuables would also be much appreciated to avoid the unexplained disappearance of certain items, which is always an unpleasant experience. In short, a beautiful home that lacks a few things to approach perfection.
Thanks to Ottavio and Roger for their help ⊠if you want to relax this the place. The villa is fully equipped as we arrived we found a beautiful attention ( fromage, tomates, pain, lait, fruit⊠)
Thanks
We had a wonderful 5 days at Rogerâs house. The pool was huge and beautiful. The most wonderful location to totally relax. The house was large and comfortable and so well equipped. We felt very welcome and Ottavio made checking in a joy. Exceeded all expectations. We would return in a heartbeat and I would highly recommend!
Rogerâs Trulli is simply stunning. The huge grounds offer complete privacy. The large pool is wonderful, particularly in August when we visited. Staying in the Trulli is a unique experience but still has all of the creature comforts. Brilliant stocked kitchen and welcome pack was greatly appreciated.
Great local restaurants in nearby Ostuni and Ceglie, Cebus was a particular favourite.
Ottavio the local agent made check in a breeze and was warm and helpful.
Thanks you Roger for sharing your beautiful home with us.
Such a lovely place. Very well-appointed, clean and beautiful Trulli house. Great manager who was super helpful. Very good WiFi and aircon. Definitely for those who want peace and donât mind driving to dinner.
My family really enjoyed our time there đ
Wonderful stay in a beautiful property in idyllic location
A beautifully restored Trulli in a very quiet rural location. Do use sat nav and save the pin drop location of the Trulli!! Ottavio and Roger have maintained property with a keen eye for detail.
The accommodation was very spacious and clean, accommodating two families (4 adults and 3 children) comfortably. The kitchen was fully equipped and plenty of crockery.
There was selection of beach gear - mats & parasols etc. The pool area was a real hit with the children who mastered the art of diving during our week long stay, whilst the adults could relax on the many sun loungers and chairs located around the pool area.
Plenty of shaded areaâs to escape the intense August sun. We shopped at the local DOK supermarket in Ceglie and also Famila in Ostuni. We ate out at âVilla Kaileaâ (also do takeaway pizza) and the âGarden Pizzeria restaurantâ in Ceglie - both of which we would highly recommend. Aldo and his staff at villa Kailea were exceptionally helpful and friendly! Ostuni has a large number of restaurants too.
We ventured out several days visiting the amazing caves at Castellana Grotte (a definite must see - check tour times in English in advance of travel), the town of Alberobello was beautiful if rather spoilt by the plethora of tourist shops! Monopoli, Polignano, Locorotondo all beautiful towns. A fabulous week at the Trulli, would definitely recommend to friends and family!
Lovely property with absolutely everything thought of. Only 4 of us so was extremely spacious and would be even with more. We really enjoyed our stay . Top tip would be to mark your location on your sat nav or google maps on your phone. The property is nicely off the beaten track and doesn't have a traditional postal address that you can input. We got hopelessly lost on our first occasion returning to the Trulli despite our best efforts to note the way when leaving - all olive groves look deceptively similar !!
The house was everything that was promised; a beautiful 'trulli' building, amazing swimming pool, lovely peaceful grounds, good sized rooms, comfy beds, plenty of sunbeds and the house was stocked with all the pots, pans and glasses etc you could need. And some lovely shady areas to sit outside for breakfast and dinner with large outdoor tables and plenty of chairs.
The manager met us some way out of the property and escorted us to the villa - and as you leave Ceglie Messapica (the main nearby town) you do sink deep into the lovely olive grove countryside with many other trulli houses around, so make sure so remember the way through all the windy country roads. The villa was perfect, silent but for bird song and with a lovely garden of olives trees, jasmine and lavender alive with bees and butterflies. And it is surrounded by some terrific old towns which were so interesting to visit - especially nice were Lecce, Matera and Martina Franca. Old town Bari was also a delight, and Alberobello was lovely (if rather spoiled by cheap junk tourist shops).
We visited the very pleasant hill town of Ceglie quite a few times (it takes around 20 minutes by car) where there are some largish supermarkets and small bakeries and green grocers. We ate out quite often but there weren't any particularly noteworthy restaurants we visited (although we did enjoy some terrific local red wines).
2 minor things - the wifi router worked perfectly but the provider sends out a very variable signal so often we could not get into the wifi (it was usually best early morning) and none of us could get 3G there. Moreover, the dish washer broke down a few times which the manager tried to repair.
In summary - a fantastic villa in a wonderful spot deep in lovely Apulia. A most memorable holiday :0)
Stunningly unique holiday home. Ideal for families eager from a city detox
A beautifully converted trulli with modern extension. Extremely well equipped with a great deal of thought and effort to give you peace of mind on your holiday. A home from home with every need anticipated. Quite a remote location - recommend a sat nav as off the beaten track. No local eateries or shops within a 10 min drive. Gorgeous pool, great sunset. Very helpful, accommodating and communicative owner.
