This Daniel Island home features every amenity a vacationing family could ever need. 20 minutes from the beach, and 25 minutes from the city; this home is the perfect place for your next family trip!

Space
1 king, 2 queen beds. Great view of Charleston's marsh, fully equipped kitchen, game room, and 2 user friendly golf carts to get around the island. There are also 7 bikes to enjoy. Plenty of room for 4 adults and children.

The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you need to whip a fantastic meal, if you desire to cook. Have a brand new Keurig coffee maker (coffee is included), new toaster, air fryer, blender. And of course all the items needed for cooking. No need to bring anything other then your appetite.

Neighborhood overview
Daniel Island is an award-winning island town located within historic Charleston, South Carolina. Integrated with the island’s natural beauty are traditional neighborhoods, community parks, bicycle and walking trails, schools and churches, retail businesses, a library, corporate offices, a private country club, two professional sports facilities and world-class recreational opportunities. Recognized with an “Award for Excellence” by the Urban Land Institute, the community is a national model for smart growth.

Getting around
There is no public transportation available but you do get access to 2 golf carts (1 6 seat cart, and 1 4 seat cart) and 7 bikes (2 women’s, 3 mens, 1 boys, 1 girls, 1 small child with training wheels) which are the two best ways to enjoy Daniel Island. There is also the Daniel Island Ferry which is a wonderful boat and a great way to travel to and from downtown. The number for the Ferry is (843) 732-4949 and I recommend getting your tickets early.

Daniel Island Gem!

We had a wonderful stay on Daniel Island. The location is great, close to Charleston and the beach. We used the golf carts to go everywhere on the Island. The house is in a beautiful neighborhood with great amenities. Plenty of restaurants and shops to explore without leaving the island. Rich made check-in seamless and was quick to respond during our stay. We went to concerts at Credit One Stadium and the house is conveniently located to the venue. We hope to stay again soon. You won’t regret a trip to this Daniel Island gem!

Best Experience Ever!

This was a 10 / 10 experience for my family. The home was the perfect place to entertain and unwind. Gorgeous views of the marsh. And our host, Rich, is pro style class all the way. He left us thoughtful notes on how to operate everything, allowed us to use his awesome LSV (the Bullet is FAST!) and even left us a gift card for Publix. Hands down our best experience ever with a VRBO rental.

Perfect for a family get together!

Rich’s house provided our all-adult family a perfect place to gather! One of us lives on Daniel Island, so we’ve been there before. This wasn’t so much a “touristy” vacation for us, but more about spending quality time all together, which doesn’t happen often. This was a great choice - roomy enough for us to hang out together, but also with plenty of spaces to separate off to do different things sometimes. We really enjoyed the porches and deck (the marsh views!), the comfy couch, the pool table and darts, and the indoor tables for playing games and sharing celebratory meals (some prepared in the kitchen, some takeout brought in). The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were luxurious! The location was convenient for getting to restaurants, both local and downtown, and the beach. Rich provided recommendations and was attentive, but not intrusive, which was exactly what we needed given that we were familiar with the area and pretty much knew what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. We enjoyed outdoor visits with Lucky, who made it even more home-like for us. Somehow, even the weather was ideal throughout our getaway, which we particularly enjoyed, given that it actually snowed back home in NH while we were in SC! Thank you, Rich, for sharing your beautiful home! We will definitely return the next time we come as a full group!

Spectacular Daniel Island

This was our fourth family vacation stay at this property. The host goes out of his way to make everything easy, understandable, comfortable and fun. Location is great, many wonderful activities at the house as well as on the island. Plenty of room to get together for meals, cards,TV and games or to find a quiet spot to enjoy the scenery and comfort. Daniel Island is an amazingly beautiful and special place. The many amenities at the house, the ease of the rental process, the accommodating host all add up to a wonderful relaxing fun filled atmosphere. Everything you could need is here or nearby. Daniel Island retreat

Best place ever for our family holiday get togethers. Rich is a wonderful attentive host - responsive, helpful, generous and organized. Everything is available to provide comfort and convenience. We love the neighborhood location that makes it easy to walk out the door to access downtown DI, walking trails, restaurants and shopping. It was fun to explore the whole island with the golf carts and bikes provided. And, morning walks or exercise that ended at coffee shops for a treat became a daily delight. Also fun to be close to downtown Charleston - sightseeing, dining, shopping - we did it all. The house is great for our group - beautiful marsh views, large rooms where all can gather and some smaller cozy spaces (sunroom overlooking the marsh, front porch rocking chairs). It’s fun to see that everyone has their own favorite space. The large comfortable TV area was very busy this year as we all tried to keep up with our family fantasy football league. Even the cooks could be a part of the action. Our whole family loves being here. What a unique place. Thanks, Rich, for the holiday memories.

Family Holidays

After a great time last year our family voted to return for a second holiday gathering at Rich’s. Everyone was excited to come back. And, it was even better this year. That says it all!! Rich is an attentive host and has done a great job of anticipating the kinds of activities that make for great fun and memorable times. The house is extremely well equipped from kitchen accessories to transportation ( Golf carts and bikes) and everything in between. The game room is amazing and gets lots of use from our group . The setting is both beautiful and convenient - with beaches, downtown Charleston and other sites easily accessible. After a busy day it is relaxing to enjoy rocking on the front porch or viewing the marsh from the deck & sunroom while grilling fresh local seafood. Rich’s house provided the perfect rendezvous point for our friends to all meet up, sleep comfortably, gather to eat and drink, cruise around the island in style and have the most excellent weekend on DI. Felt like a home away from home

The owner was a fabulous communicator with many helpful recommendations to make you feel you were a local. The home is in a quiet neighborhood, very peaceful on the marsh. Daniel Island Gem

Fabulous house with fabulous amenities. Location is close to Charleston and great beaches. The island itself is beautiful and easy to get around by golf cart (that was one of our most favorite activities). Rich was friendly and responded to texts right away. He left lots of recommendations for restaurants and places to go. Our family had a wonderful time.

What an Amazing Vacation

Just wow - on all levels. Rich was beyond accommodating both pre and throughout the rental and was an incredible host. A+ service, and then some. As far as the house goes, it exceeded every expectation we had. The photos don't do justice to how nice it is, both inside and out. It is appointed incredibly well - we wanted for nothing. In fact, bonuses like the game room (where the men of our group held a Christmas barrom olympics), the use of the golf cart, the use of the bikes, etc. made it all so memorable. We literally had one of our best Christmases as a family, and it was a direct result of this great house, this great location, and this great host. Thank you, Rich, for your generosity, and in sharing your lovely home with us. We fervently hope we're able to return some day. This listing has our highest endorsement and our deepest appreciation.
