A beautiful stone-built, detached cottage, renovated in 2020, with far-reaching countryside views, Barn View offers modern facilities along with original exposed beams. The ground floor consists of a living/dining room with stone-built fireplace, along with a separate well-equipped kitchen. On the first floor you will find two well-appointed bedrooms as well as a family bathroom complete with a spa bath. The cottage is situated on the ownerâs working farm with cattle, ducks, geese, chickens, and horses, and is an ideal holiday location (stabling available).
A plethora of walks can be taken from the doorstep and coarse fishing can be found œ mile away. Chatsworth House, Bolsover Castle, Hardwick Hall and the Heights of Abraham are just a selection of the many attractions within a 10-mile drive of the cottage. Bakewell is the ancient capital of the Peak District, and is just under a half an hour drive away, famous for its puddings. Shop 4 miles, pub 3 miles, restaurant 5 miles.
What a fabulous holiday cottage. The cottage was immaculate, had very good facilities. The hosts were very friendly,helpful and welcoming. We will definitely stay again and would recommend this cottage. The area is also worth a visit.
