Ground Floor Flat with garden, Tangmere

Set in the centre of the old historic village of Tangmere in a quiet location surrounded by private gardens, this purpose built flat offers spacious fully furnished accommodation for 2 people. It's the perfect location for relaxation with access to many facilities nearby.

The property can be found at the end of a private road with its own on-site parking. Its attached to a larger house, all built in the 21st century. It provides comfortable self-contained accommodation with quality furnishings for a holiday stop or longer use during house moves and building alterations. There is full central heating for winter breaks and easy access level entry.

Relax in the large living /dining room or open the French doors leading to the pretty garden for alfresco dining on the south facing patio. The kitchen is fully fitted overlooking the well planted garden. It comes with built in oven/grill, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine/drier. There is also space for a kitchen table and chairs for a breakfast brunch. One large double bedroom and a separate large bathroom complete the accommodation. Free wi-fi included.

Only 3 miles east of Chichester and short drive from Arundel, there are many attractions nearby. Chichester has the Cathedral, Festival theatre, large shopping centre and leisure centre. Arundel offers many attractions including castle, wildlife wetlands, cricket ground, cathedral plus interesting shopping centre.

Tangmere has a local shop, for last minute shopping and all basic needs. As former Battle of Britain village it houses the Tangmere military Aviation museum, which is within walking distance and has been a popular attraction for military enthusiast since opening in 1982. Set on the former RAF Tangmere airfield the museum is home to countless fascinating exhibits. At the 800 year old church, WW2 wargraves can also be found.

Several excellent beaches and Chichester Harbour are less than 10 miles away and it is just outside the boundaries of South Downs National Park. Goodwood House, golf course, motor racing circuit and race course are within 2 miles and Fontwell race course is only 3 miles away. West Dean College and the Weald and Downland outdoor museum are 10 minutes distant by car.

Very nice accommodation

Nicely appointed and spacious annex. We did not use the kitchen but it seemed well equipped. Shower soap/gel and shampoo/conditioner not provided. Close to Goodwood but expect long delays during key events. Our only negative is the bed is small for 2 adults.

Overall the property was clean location was good very spacious the only problem we had was tea and coffee cups were not very clean also spatula was greasy and dish was chipped ice cream cone was left in the freezer. Also garden wasn’t very private

An outstanding place to stay.

Wisteria Way was a wonderful place to stay. The accommodation itself is perfect for a couple and was very clean. The bed was very comfortable, it had a lovely separate lounge/dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen as well that included a full sized fridge and washing machine/dryer. There was plenty of storage, and a nice outdoor seating area. It was in excellent condition and quite stylish. I stayed there for nearly 3 weeks and it always felt like a nice place to come back to. There is a lot to see locally, with a number of amazing attractions close by. I was also able to do a regular local run around the old Tangmere Airfield which was roughly 6km around. A convenience store is walking distance nearby. The accommodation itself is in a beautiful part of the village and down a private road, so it's amazingly quiet. The hosts David and Anne were so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Wonderful, peaceful & bright stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The area was quiet & peaceful. The hosts were lovely and kind. The accommodation was spacious, and well-stocked. The co-op is an easy walking distance, and there is also a bus stop if you want to go into Chichester.

Perfect Stay and Stawberries!

The owners were very friendly and even presented me with a punnet of their own home grown strawberries, which were delicious. The bed was comfy, shower good, kitchen well equipped, roomy living room. The owners were relaxed and happy with me feeding the birds during my stay. Although I worked a relaxed peaceful stay.

Spacious, comfortable, but in need of deep clean

First impression of the garden apartment is very good, until you notice the large number of stains on the carpet, grubby light switches and doors. The shower and kitchen surfaces had not been cleaned and an infestation of ants in the kitchen plagued our stay. The bathroom basin drainage is very poor. The property is need of a deep clean, and a thorough audit of maintenance and repair needs.

Home from Home

A place to relax with all the amenities you could want on a short break, as the title states it was like a little bit of home away from home, we would recommend a stay.

Scratchy Towels & Cloths, Mediocre Kitchen, No mid-stay housecleaning

The floorplan isn't very convenient, with the kitchen at the opposite remove from the living room, and the shower had apparent mold or other black spots. The couch cushions are worn out. The kettle has lots of limescale. The pots and pans are thin, inexpensive ones that burn easily. There is no dishwasher. Like most holiday lets, the mattress was only okay. I am a bit persnickety, however. During the two weeks I was there, the annex was never cleaned by the proprietor, living next door, and there was no vacuum to do it myself. She blamed me for the resulting debris on the carpet. I thought while there that it must have been quite a while since the carpet and other flooring had been shampooed. Maybe under normal circumstances--that is, without Covid--that might just pass, but it wasn't what I'd call nice. The TV is on antennae, so some channels stop working with weather changes. The neighborhood is very nice and the street pretty, although I never saw the immediate neighbors. It is quiet and clean, but a drive to most things.

Lovely flat in ideal location

The flat was an excellent place to stay to explore the local area. It is well located near Chichester, Bognor and Arundal and the location of a coop in Tangmere was very helpful. The flat itself was very comfortable and well equipped, and we enjoyed making use of the outside space during lovely weather. The owners were helpful and friendly. Everything combined to ensure an excellent stay, and we would definitely consider staying again.

Great place to stay

The accommodation had everything we needed. It is very clean, comfortable and quite. Whilst the owners where close (next door) we where not disturbed in the least, not withstanding they where on hand if we needed anything (which we didn't) It Is set in a very quite, peaceful area and there are local shops within 5 minutes from the location. If you need further shopping facilities the town of Chichester is very close and has a very large selection of shops catering for your every need. Additionally there is a beautiful Cathedral in additions to other attractions. David and his lovely wife where just great and so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property.

Well worth staying here

Our stay was due to repairs being done at home and my husband was unable to stay there due to health problems. It was perfect as it was very quiet and close to all amenities. The owners David and Anna are delightful, very friendly and helpful, even the neighbours were nice, not forgetting the daily visit by the cat looking in through the window and the antics of the birds nest building and the starlings putting on a daily show. Everything we needed was available. If we need to leave our home again we will definitely look to stay there first and recommend it to others.

We stayed 3 weeks in this lovely flat. It is spacious and very well equipped and suited our needs beautifully. The owner lives right next door and was helpful and friendly. The location was central to all the places we wanted to visit. Chichester is a 5 minute drive away. If we visited the area again, we would definitely stay here again.

The Garden Flat

We were very pleased with our stay in this warm, comfortably furnished spacious property.It is very conveniently situated, in a quiet location within easy access to main roads. There is an abundance of tourist attractions, as well as the coast , South Downs, and interesting towns to visit, all within a short driving distance.
