Historic home near the lake
Nice historic home, just a few blocks from Lake Erie. Owners were very responsive and easy to get in touch with. We were in town for the eclipse, so it was an excellent location for that. A few nice parks in walking distance.

Our Stay in Lorain
The house we rented is a spacious old mansion. The rooms were all clean and organized. The shower & bathroom were very user friendly. Nice kitchen with modern appliances! The nearby park and rose garden are fantastic on the shore of Lake Erie! Thank you for a pleasant experience.

Its like coming home....lots of character and comfort
Although I rated "cleanliness" a 3.... this property was VERY clean, except for the bare floors. Its looks like the photos and reminded me of the homes that my friends and family owned, when I lived here... except for their very nice modern renovations. This property was very close to downtown Lorain and we had quick access to all the places we wanted to visit for food and drinks....and Rockin On the River. It's design for families.... including kids. I would definitely rent this property again when coming back for a visit to Lorain.

So nice we didn’t want to go anywhere else!
We rented this home for a girls getaway weekend. The place is adorable and roomy. We enjoyed the deck for snacks and breakfast. The Lakeview Park was clean and accessible. The antique dining room had us feeling elegant. We chose takeout over eating out because the unit is so cozy. We would definitely rent here again.

This was our second time staying at this property because we liked it so much. Two things make it stand out over other properties: 1) It was a work-cation and I needed the desk space that this house offers. 2) Proximity to the lake is fun, walking distance.

So comfortable - Everything we needed
This property was just as described. My daughter and I stayed several days, and it was very comfortable. We had everything we needed as well as lots of extras - plenty of linens, well-stocked kitchen, books and games, starter toiletries, even a welcome bottle of wine! Excellent communication with owner and manager. And everything was sparkling clean. We spent lots of time on the shaded deck, which is spacious and private. Thanks for a very nice place for our stay in Lorain.

We felt right at home during our stay. Very spacious, home with a place for every thing. Very nice updated kitchen complete with appliances. Most important, clean, comfortable queen bed, air conditioning worked well, water pressure was great, location close for lake access. It was everything we expected from the VRBO listing.

Not What I Was Expecting
This old house is charming in its own way. I did admire the vintage feel of it. However, the house was not cleaned as it should have been when I arrived. The bed sheets were full of long black hairs and it was evident that they had not been changed. There was sticky stuff on the refrigerator handles and stove top was dirty. I took the time to clean the microwave and refrigerator myself. I just slept on top of the bed comforter, and used my own blanket. The place was advertised as COVID clean. It wasn’t, but I made it work. The neighborhood was okay. There seemed to be a lot of noise while I was staying there, but not sure that happens on a regular basis. I appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine and the complimentary soaps and lotions. I also appreciated the kind communication from the owner. If you are wanting a place to crash for a fishing trip, this would be the perfect place. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a family vacation though. This is my opinion and based upon my personal experience.
