Vibrant Copenhagen Meets Exclusive Northern Beach Area
This is not an inexpensive alternative to a hotel. It is much better and much more than that. It is exclusive, authentic and gives you the perfect setting for a stay in Copenhagen.
The huge and spacy apartment is in two floors. You enter the first floor from the outdoor staircase going into the hall. From there you have the open entrance through iron framed glass doors to a huge open professional kitchen with all appliances (cooking is central here:) a large dining table - where you can watch the cook, sip your wine or just relax. From the kitchen there is an open view to the fireplace in the library inspired living room with sofa and couch. A television living room is next to the kitchen as well. The A bathroom is also situated on the first floor. Second floor has a large master bedroom - approx 40 m2 - a bathroom and a guest bedroom with a queen size bed. On the third floor the last bedroom with a queen size bed - with windows giving you a view to the sea - is situated.
The apartment is unique. Totally renovated, the style is a mix of American factory, a bit French countryside and Danish design. Everything is excellent quality - and gives you the perfect setting for a holiday including the hip part of Copenhagen (the old blue collar neighbourhoods that has been taken over by artists and students) the newly renovated areas where famous architecture can be seen and the traditional high-class areas where the royal family lives, where you attend the Royal Theatre or the Opera or have a drink in Nyhavn.
At the same time you are just in the middle of the prestigious area Charlottenlund- a bit north of Copenhagen by the sea and very close to the forest.
Great host. Easy and fast communication. Property was great for our needs and family of 4.We had plans in Hellerup so the area was ideal for us but also a short easy drive into downtown.
A delightful place to stay in tranquil Charlottenlund. Lots of space with a clear eye for design, well equipped kitchen if you want to cook and a friendly property manager. What more could you ask for.
We had an enjoyable week's stay in June. The apartment is a 10 minute walk to the railway into Copenhagen centre. There is a range of shops near the station. Also Charlottenlund forest, castle and beach within a 10-20 minute walk. The apartment is on the first, second and third floors - within another residence below. The apartment was well stocked and equipped - though it took us a while to get used to how things were organised. The 3 bedrooms were spacious but blinds or curtains at the windows of bedrooms 2 and 3 would have been useful because of the long summer days and the heat of the sun. The weather was great! The 2 bathrooms were very smart - though one was on the first floor next to the living area rather than the bedrooms. There was a decent size balcony off the kitchen/living rooms though it is in shade for much of the day. There is a shared garden area below but we didn't use it because it was down a long flight of stairs, and also there were builders working in the downstairs property through the week. Eva, the owner, was generous and helpful but some user information in the property would have been useful to us. An enjoyable week though. Recommended, and further tweaks and attention to detail will make it even better.
Lovely characterful accommodation with masses of space for the four of us. Charlottenlund is quiet with a lovely beach nearby. Itâs very quick into Copenhagen on the train and yet in Charlottenlund you feel a million miles away. Not exactly a place for people looking for the nightlife but a superb place for a family looking to travel around and come back to a super house. Host was very helpful and kind.
We immediately felt comfortable in the beautiful holiday apartment. We had plenty of space and especially the dining and living area invited us to linger. Despite the bad weather, we had a great time and we'll definitely be back.
