All Aboard! DB #2--1 BR Cottage with Living Room, Walk to the Beach, Dogs OK!

GUESTS MUST BE AT LEAST 23 YEARS OF AGE TO RENT THIS PROPERTY.

Welcome to the iconic Double Barr Cottages! Double Barr has been a favorite of Port A visitors for generations and is perfect for a quick beach getaway, a fishing trip, or family fun. Located just a couple of blocks from the beach in the "golf cart zone", you can walk, bike, or take a cart to the beach, fishing, or the many shops, restaurants, and other attractions downtown. The property has free parking, outdoor dining areas, and gas BBQ grills. An on-site laundry is available.

Unit 2 (All Aboard!) is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin with a separate living room. To the right is the living area with a couch, coffee table, and a futon to sleep children. A smart television and wireless internet is included with your stay.

The bedroom is to the left and features a queen bed and a set of twin bunks. The bunks have a weight limit of 150 pounds per bed, so please plan accordingly.

This beachy cabin has a kitchen equipped with everything you need, including pots, pans, dishes and utensils. The kitchen includes a refrigerator/freezer, gas stove, microwave, toaster, a coffee station, and all of the kitchen basics. While we supply pots, pans, dishes and utensils, we do not supply any reusable basics such a oil, spices, or condiments for safety concerns. Towels, linens, and basic soaps are also provided. Towels are for in-house use only and should not be taken to the beach.

There is parking for two vehicles next to the cottage between the parking signs. There is overflow parking available for oversize vehicles, boat trailers, or extra vehicles. Please inquire about availability of additional parking.

The cottage has window air-conditioning units and gas heat. Guests can use the outdoor picnic areas and gas BBQ grills. The guest laundry with 2 sets of washer/dryers and a fish cleaning house is available. Please contact us for the laundry code.

Double Barr Cottages is dog-friendly subject to weight and breed limitations. We welcome well-behaved, adult dogs and ask that you clean up after them outside and kennel them if left alone in the cabin for an extended period. There is a pet cleaning fee of $50 per pet per stay. If you plan on bringing a dog, please let us know the weight and breed so we can pre-approve their stay with you.

The floors had white paint splatters all over them throughout house. Not sure why one would think that’s pleasant to look at. Baseboards were dusty/dirty. Windows were not clean.Coffee pot didn’t fit coffee maker so the coffee got cold because it didn’t sit on the base. Mattress was uncomfortable on master bed. Wished television had cable vs Roku- due to internet being unstable, tv shows were unstable too.Over all, not a comfortable stay.

Great time.

Stayed in cottage number nine was very clean and the location of the cottage West pretty quiet we were very comfortable. The only downfall was we had no TV or Internet for a full day, but that was due to the Windy weather other than that. It was Good. Also, the host. Bobbi was awesome very courteous.

Family Beach Getaway

All Aboard was a wonderful place to stay. The beach was close along with food wuthin walking distance. The property was clean and well maintained. I chose this property as dog friendly. I didnt end up taking my dogs but will stay here again and bring the pups. Overall rating is a 5+. Thank you for the quick attention to no hot water, this was addressed within minutes of reporting. Definitely returning to this gem for another stay.
