Easy check in, we'd been before and were familiar with arrangements. Staff remembered us and were friendly. Room clean, stairs steep and narrow, fortunately we didn't have a lot of luggage. Breakfast freshly made and excellent. Full bar services available. Car parking is an issue, chargeable car parks around, limited free parking if you know where to go and prepared to walk.

Nice stay

Room was very nice and staff friendly and helpful. Food service was good, there was a few items not available from the menu but we were a the last end on service. Food we had was OK , traditional gastro food. I would stay here again.

A good stay in this hotel. Lucky enough to be there for steak night which was a bargain - 2 rumps for ÂŁ25. Cooked breakfast was also good and the room was comfortable. Will stay again if in the area.

Cheap parking from 8am, free between 6pm-8pm. Remember to inform of any dietery requirements in your booking. I informed them at check in, and they did not have any bread etc (Waitrose was next door) don enjoyed his breakfast

Business stop over

The accommodation is across the courtyard from the main pub on entering it didnt look very inviting, so up the stairs to the room (4) and I was very impressed very clean and comfortable decent size Tele for a hotel large shower only one little issue the sink drain was very slow (I meant to have told management) overall great value and would recommend and stay again

The property was idea no complaints whatsoever. However the local area is not served with taxi services. When a taxi was eventually found we were quoted ÂŁ50 for a fare under 2 miles. No where to park for longer than 4 hours duration. The taxi situation and parking spoilt the stay.

Disappointing

The room was ok although the net curtains had holes in them. What really let this down was the fact that the shower did not work. It was very stiff to turn on, then there was no hot water and then would not turn off. The cleaner managed to turn it off but admitted there was no hot water but did not know why. We were the only people staying so why put us in that room? The breakfast was very good but there was also a problem checking out as check out was at 11:00 but the bar did not open until 12:00 and was locked up so we could not hand the key back! In the end we dropped it into a box meant for people that were leaving before 08:00! We would not stay again and we feel that a partial refund should be due as we could not have a shower. We would have complained at the time only it was all locked up and no one was there

C'Ă©tait un vendredi et le pub servait alors il y avait un peu de bruit avec la fenĂȘtre ouverte. Mais cela ne nous a pas vraiment gĂȘnĂ©. On est allĂ© boire un coup Ă©galement. L'hĂŽtel n'est pas moderne, mais trĂšs confortable. Les chambres sont vraiment trĂšs bien. Pour se garer, il y a un parking payant en journĂ©e trĂšs proche et trĂšs pratique pour charger et dĂ©charger les affaires. Le personnel est trĂšs dynamique, sympathique,le petit dĂ©jeuner trĂšs copieux. Nous avons apprĂ©ciĂ© notre nuit !

We arrived about 5 pm after a very long day travelling. The hotel was shut up no one available. We were informed by a business close by that the hotel had closed. We were very angry that they did not bother to inform hotels .com so the rooms would not on the site.
