The apartment was a close resemblance to photos listed in VRBO.Locatuon was perfect for walking to our convention. There was a very strong, pungent odor in the building and apartment that smelled like a cross between moth balls and formaldehyde. When arriving home, everything in our suitcases had this strong odor and had to be washed and aired out. It permiated every item. The property owner was prompt with responding to messages when I reached out. One bed was broken upon arrival and someone did come and fixed it temporarily. And one of baseboards was coming off wall, which was also fixed. The apartment looked clean upon arrival. However, we discovered that the floors were not very clean, especially under the beds where there was much visible dirt and debris (including used bandaid). When wiping up some spilled water, the paper towels were black indicating floors had not been cleaned/mopped recently. We also reported outlets that were not working and property manager is addressing these with building maintenance.
The apartment had a horrible odor to it and it did not sleep 8 like it started on the app. They had homeless people sleeping in the lobby of and the neighbors is super sketchy
If you have an event at the convention center, this property is for you. Less than 5 min, and you are there. All of the other reviews had me prepared and were accurate. There was a park across the street that had a lot of homeless. They didn't bother us and we didn't bother them. There is an odd smell in the hallways. Not bad, not good, just odd. There is NO COUCH in the living room, so the listing says it sleeps 8, but it sleeps 6, and the secondary beds sure sleep like fulls and not queens. Bathrooms were spacious. There were a few little things broken/not perfect, but overall, the hosts were responsive, the pictures were mostly accurate, and the location was very good in relation to the convention center.
If you need to be at the convention center this is a great location that allows you to spread out. We were confident and comfortable with the security of the parking garage valet. Access in to the building was easy but the keypad was a bit frustrating. Ovie the property manager was very attentive. The coffee machine never worked and maintenance never showed up to fix it. Luckily, there is a great coffee shop in the farmers market called Palmieri. We visited it daily. Valet was very quick about getting our vehicle.
The major drawback to this property is the awful mothball smell on the seventh floor. No one could give us a direct explanation as to why it was so terrible but after the first night, we were pretty well immune to it.
I would certainly try to get a different floor to see if the odor improved.
This apartment was misrepresented in the description. It said 3 bedrooms and a living area with a pull out sofa. The apartment was only two bedrooms with a bed in the living room and no sofa. We had 4 adults on a business trip with only 3 beds. I called the property manager and he did nothing but offer excuses. We ultimately had to make use of a blow up mattress. The place wreaked of moth balls - the smell was so bad that it engulfed our suitcases clothes and came home with us. My back pack still stinks. When we arrived all the lights were out in the hallways, so we had to try and find the apartment in the dark. The only positives are this place is very close to the convention center and the 24 hour gym was decent size with a good amount of equipment.
This place smelled terrible. It smelled like gasoline and all of our party had headaches from it. The location is right downtown but not in a great area. I didnât feel safe to leave and parking car would have been issue if you had more than one.
I was not satisfied.
