Experience Dubrovnik the way it once was in a completely restored in-town triplex, located on a a very quiet street just steps away from the main promenade of the Old Town-famous Stradun street.
Romance and history, literature and love, the Poet's House is all of these and much, much more. Situated in the very heart of the old city of Dubrovnik the poet's House gives you the experience of living as a citizen of the city, a citizen of the 16th century city but with all the modern day trappings that you would expect.
Main entrance / 7m2 /
First Floor / 42 m2 / One guestroom with king beds and private bathroom. This room is completely separated from the rest of the apartment and offers comfortable lodging for guests or business partners.
Second Floor / 57 m2 / The large and airy living room tastefully incorporates exposed stone walls, age old beams, and antique wooden floors with comfortable contemporary furniture (sofa, armchairs, table, and bookcase, satellite TV). It is an ideal place for quiet reading, relaxing or entertaining. An antique “Windof” used for open fire cooking more than one hundred years ago, is very well preserved, adding to the perfect blend of old and new. Separated by the central stairway, the dining area with table and chairs for 6 people, extends from the open plan and fully equipped kitchen.
Third Floor / 58 m2 / Two bedrooms are located on the third floor: The master bedroom with en suite bathroom, and a second bedroom with queen beds, also with private bath. This floor also boasts a sauna. All bedrooms are equipped with bedside tables, wardrobe, table, chairs and armchairs. Both bathrooms offer wash-basins, bathtubs, showers, hairdryers.

Beautiful, roomy, and perfectly located apartment in the Old Town. In the middle of it all yet quiet at night. Big, very comfortable beds, good showers, and stylishly decorated. Host representative was very communicative, friendly and helpful. Very highly recommended as option to staying in pricy, smaller hotel rooms.

Beautiful apartment with perfect location.

This is a perfect location if you only have a couple of days to explore Dubrovnik, just a 4 minute (max) walk from Pile Gate. The apartment is beautiful, large, and the property owner and manager are very responsive and easy to deal with.

Spectacular abode in the heart of Dubrovnik

Everything you see in the pictures and more! Spacious apartment - sparkling clean. Great location in the heart of Dubrovnik. Plenty of space for six adults. Huge kitchen and living area with beautiful big windows and lovely decor. Don’t miss this gem of a spot!!

Amazing location in Old Town

This was the best place to stay in the heart of Old Town! The property is spacious, well-furnished/equipped, clean, updated, and gorgeous! It is steps away from everything in the old town- bars, shops, groceries, restaurants, the main gate, the pier...everything. The host was terrific to work with and arranged for airport pick-up for my family. They also met us at the main gate and escorted us to the property. I would stay here again!

Perfect Location & Full of Charm

We had 3 couple stay at this property in June 2023. Property very clean and had all the necessary amenities. Located in the heart of the Old Town we had walking access to so many restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops... We did many tours outside the walls and it was very easy for tour guides and Ubers to pick up right at Pile Gate (just outside of Old Town walls). I'd highly recommend this property!

Location, location, location

Title says it all. Terrific location. The property is exactly represented in the listing: simply lovely. Very well setup with furnishings and utensils. One minuscule complaint: lack of salt and pepper. If that is the only negative I can site, this is a really great property.

Great apartment in Old Town

The apartment was wonderful. We loved the location and it was clean and well-appointed. Our only disappointment was that we received only one set of keys for our stay and was promised a second set would be delivered. That never occurred so we had to carefully plan our activities to be sure that someone was not locked in or locked out of the apartment.

Great property/Incredible location

We spent five nights in this property, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We loved Dubrovnik and being so central to everything it was amazing. Easy walk to a café, a bakery, a simple market, a wine shop, and many restaurants in the harbor itself. Dubrovnik has areas with many stairs/steps and this property is in the flat part of town, close to the main gate. I can’t overemphasize how central it is. It is in the second floor, and then has three levels, but this didn’t bother us, just be aware of this. The owner and the manager were both very responsive - don’t hesitate to stay here. Lovely property and lovely city. Hvala!!!

Lovely home with a perfect location in Old Town

Our stay at Poet’s House was wonderful. The hosts were very helpful and attentive, arranging transportation from the ferry and meeting us at gate to Old Town to help with luggage. (A big bonus: no stairs to house! It’s in a great location.) Hosts also gave helpful tips about things to do and see, and arranged a car for a day trip to Montenegro. It was unseasonably hot during our May trip, up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, so the AC was much appreciated. I highly recommend Poet’s House for your Dubrovnik vacation!

Incredible location

Couldn’t have asked for a better location. Center of Old Town on a quiet street. Breakfast spot right outside the front door. Large apartment with all the furnishings and appliances needed to be comfortable for a week. Great communication with the owner. We would highly recommend.
