Welcome to Aspen Rest (Purgatory Townhomes #108), a cozy studio retreat just a short walk from Purgatory’s main lifts and ski plaza. Perfect for winter powder days or summer mountain adventures, this inviting condo places you close to all the action while still offering a peaceful space to relax. Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, a full bath, and a warm living area where you can unwind by the wood‑burning stove or step onto the private balcony to enjoy the crisp mountain air.

Additional conveniences include a private ski locker, access to coin‑operated laundry, and high‑speed WiFi for streaming, working, or staying connected during your stay. With its comfortable layout and unbeatable walk‑to‑lift location, Aspen Rest delivers the ideal blend of value, convenience, and mountain charm for your next Purgatory getaway.

RESORT CLUB ACCESS: For an optional 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. When booking, just advise if you would like the extra 4% resort fee added.

PURGATORY SKI MOUNTAIN LOCATION: This condo is located at Purgatory Ski Resort in the San Juan Mountains. Purgatory is 25 minutes north of downtown Durango and is known as a family-friendly ski resort. It has 105 trails, including 5 terrain parks, over 1,500 skiable acres and 12 lift. The resort boasts an average annual snowfall of 260 inches. Purgatory Resort offers a variety of activities and amenities that cater to families, including ski lessons, childcare and a variety of restaurants. It is a more affordable option that some of the other ski resorts in Colorado, has a good mix of terrain for all ability levels, and stunning views. If you're looking for a resort that offers something for everyone, staying at this condo at Purgatory is a great option!

SUMMER AT PURGATORY: Purgatory boasts a bike park accessible by chair lift, an alpine slide, mountain coaster, and treasure panning. There are also hiking trails, jeep tours, and watercraft rentals on Twilight Lake. Purgatory hosts various events throughout the summer, such as live music concerts, festivals and bike races.

NO PETS: Due to HOA rules, the condo (and all condos in the building) is not pet friendly. Please do not bring your pets/emotional support animals.

COOLING: Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

NOTE: This building has thin walls and the residents do strictly enforce the 10pm quite time - please be respectful of your neighbors when staying at Purgatory Townhomes.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years). Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

VRC CANCELLATION POLICY: At Vacation Rental Collective, we understand the importance of flexibility for travelers when it comes to cancellations. When booking directly with Vacation Rental Collective, we offer a Moderate Cancellation Policy: A guest will receive a 100% refund if canceled/changed at least 30 days before check-in; a 50% refund if canceled/changed 14-30 days before check-in; and no refund if canceled/changed 13 days or less before check-in. Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I thought the initial presentation was good. But after being there awhile, I noticed that the mirror in the bathroom was dirty, the shower valve was not working well, the flokati rug was very dirty with little pebbles/dirt in it. flokati rugs are hard to clean. The kitchen has a well-used microwave, but the dinner plates wouldn't fit in it. A teapot/kettle would be nice. I am also a short rental owner with high ratings. I reinvest my profits back into the property to maintain it. it is spotless. One thing I would highly recommend is to have a "junk drawer" as scissors are necessary to keep in the kitchen as well as other things that would be handy to have: pencils, notepads, tape, stapler, screwdriver, etc. but scissors are really necessary.

Older condo in Purgatory resort

Very small studio apartment on the second floor—no elevator. Building is older and unit dated but clean. Mattress on sofa bed needs to be replaced as it is very uncomfortable and mattress on Murphy bed is hard. Location is very convenient to lifts, and communication with management company was good.

The place is cute. The bedspread/quilt was not put on the bed. The rug was not vacuumed. There was a dirty sock left on the ground. The kitchen sink was clogged. The site said there would be soap in the bathroom with shampoo for at least one night, there was not.

Shelving in closet fell down at some point on the 21st while we were out. Fan on refrigerator is noisy and makes an annoying squealing noise at times. Makes it hard to get your sleep.

This place was just as it was described! It had lots of closet space and a LOT of extra towels, pillows and blankets - if you needed them! We would stay here again!
