It's no wonder city dwellers flock to upstate New York's Hudson Valley for a break from the daily grind. Its rural beauty and colorful foliage is a beautiful change of scenery. After all, it was here that inspired an entire artistic movement of Romantic painters to capture the area's rolling hills and pastoral setting. View the landscapes in person by hiking the Catskill Mountains, and then head to the farm to pick seasonal produce. Think apple picking in the fall and strawberries in the summer!

My family and my husband and I enjoyed this beautiful house for the Pittsfield Jazz Festival. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us. The house was extremely clean, check in was so easy and the beds were extremely comfortable. We will 100 % be back!
We had a wonderful stay. The house was as shown in the photos. The kitchen was well equipped, the fireplace is beautiful. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have come across in a rental property. The hot tub was wonderful and relaxing. We love the quiet and privacy and absolutely loved the bird feeders that you can watch close up from the living room and the bird houses located all over the grounds. The only comment would be a need for towel/ robe hooks in the upstairs bathroom and some fireplace tongs for the fireplace. But only minor things. We will definitely be back. All contact with Aventstay was easy and efficient for check in and out.
Need a quiet place to relax and re charge, this house is what you need to do just that. The kitchen had everything thing you needed to make some yummy meals. The hot tub was a perfect place to relax and unwind. An issue but it did not affect our trip, we had some trouble with the lights not working in the dinning room but the lamps in the room provided enough light for us. Few wasp around the home made us feel we couldn't use the deck to it full advantage. We definitely would say here again it such a beautiful home and view.
Cabin was very charming and set in a beautiful outdoor space right off 90. Fireplace (w/ wood) was a great asset and family room with TV, WiFi and streaming services a plus. Bed and bathrooms nicely equipped (dressers, hangers, luggage stands, extra blankets). Beautiful hot tub that we didn't get to use due to weather. So many things to do in the area. Looking forward to going back.
Thank you for sharing your home with us. We enjoyed our time, loved the setting and will definitely plan on staying again when in the area. The house is well equip and spacious for a large family. The owners responded quickly to a question and suggested a few of their favorite local activities. I absolutely recommend this home!!! Outstanding.
The house and property were beautiful, exactly what we needed after long days working at The CrossFit Games. It was the perfect place to come back to and unwind. The grill, hot tub, and well-stocked kitchen made it super easy for our group to relax and enjoy our downtime.
The log cabin home was very nice. Sadly, it is not maintained very well and is certainly not what I would expect for 700 a night. On the plus side the home was clean, nicely laid out, and had great vistas with no immediate neighbors. It also came with several bird feeders resulting in a large number of birds being seen.On the downside, the home had no AC in the main areas, only window units in the bedrooms (90degree days during our day); it was only a couple of hundred yards from I90 and you could clearly hear traffic when outside; and three of the six smoke detectors in the house had been disabled / removed.Sadly, there were several maintenance issues, including:âąBefore you even enter the house you are greeted with 75-100 of hose just dumped on the ground; trash cans open and plastic bottles lying around; streams of holiday lights just dumped on top of the planter; a loose left-hand railing on the stairs leading to the door which could be dangerous to anyone hoping to use it for support; Window screens by the front door were broken. Collectively this was not a good way to present a 700 a night property.âąThe dresser in the main bedroom was falling apart, with drawers hanging off.âąAll of the window AC units had large gaps around them. âąWindow / door screens were loose or hanging off.Overall, a nice property just poorly maintained. We will never rent one managed by AvantStay again if this is indicative of the effort they put into managing their properties
We had a large family group, 10 people, for graduation weekend. This property was an easy drive from Albanyâwe had plenty of space in a nice, secluded area. We will definitely keep this property in mind for future events.
We stayed here as we were on pilgrimage to the national Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Stockbridge. It's less than 30 minutes away. It turned out to be a hidden gem for us. Very large out door deck for hanging our or grilling. very comfortable. You will want to stay longer.
