The room was very nice. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They had everything you could possibly need and the location was convenient for walking to the Edinburgh Castle and lots of shops and eateries.

Excellent location in the old town just off the main strip of bars/restaurants on Grassmarket (the Black Bull was our favourite). Expert tip: if walking to the hotel with luggage from Waverley Station (or bus stops on Princes Street) walk along Princes Street to Lothian Road and down King Stables Road to reach the hotel. There are no stairs and only a slight downhill section. Reception/lobby was beautiful, but very awkward. As other reviewers have stated the position of the breakfast station in the middle of the entrance was both awkward and inconvenient for both diners and passers by as there was no way to avoid each other. The reception area smelled beautiful but very strong, so be aware if you have allergies. Breakfast was also very pricy and we did not partake as we did not find it was good value for the price. Our room was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable but we quickly found several things that made it inconvenient. Minimal counter space in the bathroom, lack of a second bedside table as the bed was pushed into a corner. Lack of table space. Our luggage remained open on the floor as there were no benches and there was only one luggage stand. The kitchen sink was so small the kettle could not be placed in the sink to fill and you could not wash individual dishes. The only place to blow dry hair or use hot hair tools was over the dining table. We were in a castle view studio suite on the third floor and the view out the window was beautiful but the cast

The staff here are terrible. Our family rented several rooms over the holidays, only one had working heat. They had to provide space heaters. They made little to no effort to fix the situation. And did that with an attitude. They say they have a 24 hour maintenance staff, that is a lie. They had no "keys" for any maintenance after 5pm. They did make an effort to lie about everything from telling us they would fix the situation to offering us a "free: breakfast that they refused to honor when the time came. No house keeping at all during a long stay. Bottom line.... this is a two star hotel that masquerades as a four star.

The room had no heat. The staff were informed multiple times and the problem was not resolved over 6 nights. They provided a space heater. I don't see how a hotel deserves 4 stars if they have space heaters. Even the fact that they have them available shows they have issues. The service was horrible. They did close to nothing to repair the issue, but obviously they could not so they just let it go. The tv was also not working, but at least they fixed the issue after the second day. oh yes, there is no housekeeping included, at all. This is 2 Star hotel masquerading as a 4 star.

We absolutely loved the aparthotels concept. We were in a. two bedroom and it was a proper apartment with a full living room and kitchen. It took us a day or so to get the temperature right. The property is in the Grassmarket neighborhood and a 15 minute walk from the Edinburgh Castle end of the Royal Mile. Breakfast was extra, choice of cold buffet or hot and cold buffet.

Great location, helpfull staff. Modern accommodation with a very comfy bed. Sofa bed needs attention as comfy as a couch other than the seat cushions constantly falling off. Excellent service and teally appreciated the room upgrade for my birthday.

The best part of this hotel was all of it! The location was fantastic for a great view of the castle, less than a minute walk to Grassmarket full of fantastic history, food and drinks. The room was perfect and the bed was so comfortable. I would recommend this to people who want to be close to it all but don’t want to hear it all. Since the hotel is not right on the main strip and not near the hustle and bustle you can actually rest and be ready for the next day. Cannot say enough about this hotel. Thank you!

The staff were wonderful! We felt so taken care of from the moment we walked in. The aparthotel was really cool! The decor was fun and inside was spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed and we LOVED that there were all eco friendly products. Close to all the sites, but situated on a quiet street, it was the perfect place to stay. We will be back!
