HHB moved us to another hotel because the bathroom was broken beyond repair & no extra room available for us. The hotel that HHB arranged for us was quite far away from train station, We carried large luggage, I booked HHB mainly for its very close proximity to train station (I can pay much less if I stay away from train station)! The hotel in poor condition, we waited at lobby & called desparately for >5min before the concierge show up, 2 broken lamps in the room, very weak air-conditioning (in mid summer, no fan in the room), dusty bed sheet, poor breakfast. It was not of the same standard as HHB, and we found out that hotel's room rate was only half of HHB. I very much want a partial refund.

The location of the hotel was great for walking around the city. Parking was available nearby. Breakfast was good. Unfortunately housekeeping didn't service the room during our 3 night stay. We were in a room at the front of the hotel, the street below was very noisy during the night.

my room was small and the shower was tiny and the room was not cleaned properly, the floor was dirty and I was bitten by mosquitos as it hadn't been sprayed prior to arrival.

Clean and spacious

The hotel is located minutes away from the historic center, 5 min walking from Central Station Firenze. The room was quite spacious which was a pleasent surprise and usually not the case for hotels in the city centre. Breakfast is suitable for a 3*hotel. After check out you can leave your bags on the reception and pick them up later on, handy! The wi-fi connection was quite fast!

Superb value

It’s a great value hotel, although the room is small and the walls are thin (you can hear the phone conversation of the person in the room next door). But it’s clean, comfortable and warm (as was here in winter). The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the train station and it’s also just under 20minutes wall to Ponte Vecchio, even less to the cathedral. The complimentary breakfast is great! It offered great value for my stay and I did appreciate that they cleaned the room everyday and also stored my luggage after check-out while I went exploring more of Florence before leaving.

Great stay at HHB hotel, Florence.

Really friendly staff that helps you with information that you needed. Check in was a breeze. Location need SMN train station and the bus station. Walking distance to the city center. Nearby supermarket and eatery.

We chose this room for its central location to the train station (350 m) and other landmarks. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful… but that’s mostly what this place has going for it. The room was beautiful but the bathroom was filthy. Black mold all over the tub and shower, and the bidet was leaking. Bring earplugs if you stay here, because the rooms echo and the walls are thin. We were unlucky to room next to a group that got up at 5 am to catch a flight. Their vibrating phone alarm woke me. Yep, vibrating. Every word of their conversation was loud and clear as they got ready. The beds are quite hard as well, so don’t count on a great night’s sleep.

Handy for the city

The hotel is very hand for Firenze SMN station and most of the tourist parts of the city are a short walk away. The staff were very helpful. The room showed signs of wear and tear and needed a few things done to bring it up to standard, however it was workable.

Unsafe and dirty place

I just want to share my experience with this reservation . The pictures didn’t looks like the actual room over there. The place it was too dirty and had mold all over the bathroom walls and ceiling, smelly urine and when turned on the AC dust came out causing hard time to breath and sore throat . The door didn’t had and extra lock and the place seems very unsafe. I literally ran out of that place when they didn’t did nothing to help me , and say that they couldn’t do nothing because was paid by hotels.com . Also I waste my money because ill be charged for $100+taxes if cancelled my reservation. I tried to make a review of these place but the system shutdown every time I submitted .
