This villa is located at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort on Okaloosa Island. Villa 505 offers breathtaking views of Choctawhatchee Bay, Okaloosa Island, Destin, and the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Rise early for a breathtaking sunrise or watch the fireworks over the Destin Harbor on special occasions. Located on the gulf side of the resort this unit is only steps away from the sugar white beaches.

The large private balcony is a great place to enjoy a peaceful breakfast in the morning or a romantic dinner in the evening. Stay entertained with the 37-inch flat screen HDTV, digital cable with HBO, DVD player, 19-inch TV in the bed area, and free high speed WI-FI. The full kitchen has everything you need including a refrigerator/freezer, 2-burner stove, convection microwave, a drip coffee brewer, filtered water, dishwasher, coffee maker, and blender. The Villa can sleep 4 with a queen size bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The spacious bathroom offers a large garden tub for relaxing soaks and a stand alone glass door shower.

Villa 505 Guests enjoy Resort beach and bay access, 7 swimming pools, 3 hot tubs, lazy river and fitness center.

Great Condo in Perfect Location

We made a last minute decision to go to Destin West to meet some friends and I was scrambling to find a decent condo. I am glad I found this one, but the owners were great! They were so helpful in every way. As for the condo, it was adorable. They have really put some personal touches in this condo and made it feel like home. My boys loved the Wii as well. We will be back!

The property definitely could use a little upgrade to the interior. It is a bit dated. The bathroom needs a deep cleaning in corners and in the shshower. i doubt the bed spread was cleaned before I arrived, because there was a stain on it. Otherwise it was just ok.

This condo did not disappoint. They have freshly painted the exterior. The amenities were great. We parked our vehicle in the free parking garage and didn’t have to drive it again until we left. The walkable distances to restaurants, shops, and the beach was fabulous. The bayside is also easy to access because there is a crossover. I would stay again.

Great first experience at a condo rental

My wife, daughter, son-in-law, and myself enjoyed our stay tremendously. The condo was well portrayed in the HomeAway listing and the correspondence with the owner confirmed it all. Upon our arrival, we found that our entrance pass code would not work. This problem was quickly and efficiently taken care of. The inside of the condo was spotless and very inviting. The balcony view was breathtaking to say the least. We enjoyed the outlet mall, the Irish Pub in Destin, Howl at the Moon and oh yes the Lazy River. This was so relaxing especially because the temperature the week we stayed was near 100 degrees. We would absolutely recommend this condo to our friends. We look forward to staying again in the near future.

The view was great, the beds were comfy and there was plenty for room for myself and two kiddos. Loved the balcony and private access to the pools and beaches was fantastic. It was also nice to be able to park in the garage and have shade. The kitchen was small, however, I expected that as there were plenty of photos. Also, the amenities were sparse, but again, MOST of that was shared ahead of time. However, I was disappointed there was only one trash bag provided for the entire week. Perhaps a suggestion would be to be able to "order" additional rolls of toilet paper, or washcloths, dishwasher detergent, etc. for a small additional fee upon reserving the unit, or perhaps being able to order via an app when there. I understand we can go to Publix or Walmart to get more, but buying that much at once to potentially have to throw it away if you don't have room to pack it is an inconvenience. Overall, the bathroom was fine. The shower was a bit small and there was a bit of crud on the floor. I'd also suggest installing a removable shower head. It's SUPER hard to rinse sand off in the shower without one. We had a few things we needed and the management company was very responsive via text. Thanks for a fun stay!

I enjoyed exploring the area and found plenty of great dining options nearby. I will definately be back!

Not very clean!!!

The dresser was (is) so wobbly it felt like it was going to fall apart, drawers didn't close all the way. The other closet dresser for hanging your clothes was so out of wack, the wooden bar fell out of the holder. Didn't even use the dishwasher, we got there and it had water sitting on the bottom of it, Not sure how long that's been in there! Could barely open the deck sliding door, it felt stuck every time. And finally, the black mold was a really nice thing to stare at every time we used the bathroom.

Nice accommodations at Destin West Villas

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was adequate for our needs. One thing we think could be improved upon was the beach umbrellas. It would have been nice if you reserved a spot for those who bring their own beach umbrellas and etc. The commercial umbrella providers took up every spot that was water front and much of the second row leaving those of us with our own umbrellas no good spot for set up. We did notice the added security in the covered parking area which we really liked. Also the security to the beach access was good to see. Also, in the room the bottom of the wall between the tub and shower had mold. That should be removed and perhaps a piece of tile should be added.
