We were there for the Christmas period, and overall based on the price paid it was exactly as we expected it to be, so no complaints about the room. There was one exception, the food. The ice cream that was served on Christmas Eve had clearly been thawed and refrozen, full of ice. The Christmas Day breakfast had solid black pudding, and solid yolks in the fried eggs. Now here's the absolute worst part. The so called Christmas Buffet. We arrived 10 mins before our 7pm slot, only to find stale sandwiches, chicken nuggets and chocolate cake. Not one single redeeming feature that could be related to "Christmas" in any way. So how do sandwiches get stale before the buffet has even been started, well the answer probably has something to do with the Christmas lunch that happened at 1pm. It's quite clear there's issues with storage and food safety going on here. To serve something that should have been in the bin and take money for it, I'm sorry, but that's just unacceptable in every way. Every guest who paid money for that, should be refunded.

The day we enter bathroom mirror was broken, heating was not working. I complained but nothing happened so it was poor experience for us specially when my daughter birthday was on 31st December. I won’t recommend anyone to go to that particular hotel.

The staff are lovely here, really friendly and welcoming. My room was upgraded to have a view but I was disappointed it only had twin beds instead of the queen bed booked. The food is amazing in this hotel and reasonably priced. If you’ve never tried haggis, the bon bons are a great option. Having a lift certainly makes things easier.
