The picture of this VRBO does not fully represent this house. Upon arrival, I noticed the area is very run down and there is a locked gate in the front of the house. This locked gate is not in the picture. I would not have booked a house with a locked gate. There is a gate because it is not a safe area. One street over is a transitional area, but not this street. Upon walking in the house, I noticed a bad smell and the floors were sticky. As I continued walking, the beds were not made. It felt very dirty. I will say the kitchen was lovely. The outdoor furniture was tattered about and it was trashy outside. I immediately tried to contact the host and they offered to come clean immediately and give me one night free. I would have taken them up on it but the area did not feel safe for my family and grandchildren. The host referred to this area as the junkyard and they did not deny the safety of it. In fact they said it was up to me to do my research to determine if it was a safe area. Again, one street over is transitional and being restored, but not this street. In the end, I got half of my moneyBack but the service was poor in my opinion given my other VRBO experiences. I had to contact the host 7 minutes before check in time to find out check in instructions. They never sent me an email until I asked - again 7 minutes before- at 2:53pm. I do not recommend staying here.
