Welcome to the Bear Creek Crossing, a private, picturesque 235-acre estate with a 4 bedroom, 4 bath custom rock home (2 king beds, 3 queen beds) sitting above the banks of Bear Creek and overlooking a valley of lush rolling pastures and miles of trails through walnut, cherry and live oak stands. There is nothing better than relaxing with friends and family on the expansive back porch while watching the sunset over the waters of the crystal clear spring-fed lake.
The Space:
Bear Creek Crossing is the perfect place to enjoy the best of both worlds. Gorgeous, relaxing country mornings sipping coffee, watching deer and the occasional exotic play in the meadows across the creek, and your oasis following winery tours and shopping in historic Fredericksburg.
This home has been designed for hosting multi-family, couples, and friends getaways with its open space living concept and expansive dining and kitchen areas. From having a family dinner or playing horseshoes or pool there is so much to do at our home with your loved ones.
If you are bringing your children, they will never be bored and might sleep for days. While exploring the property, tell them to keep their eyes open for wild sheep, Axis, deer, and blackbucks but also be on the lookout for ancient fossils and fossilized dinosaur footprints.

Pet fees & rules:
We're delighted to welcome furry friends! This property is pet-friendly for dogs, unfortunately we can't accommodate cats at this time.
-Pet fee(s) of $135 plus tax will apply in addition to the nightly rate.
-Please check the weight limit and max number allowed for this unit.
-Please keep your pups leashed outside and clean up after them.
-A separate pet waiver must be signed.
-Any and all damages or issues caused by your pet to a unit or furnishing will be immediately charged to your credit card on file.
Guest Access:
This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1,250 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $79.00 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.5 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

4. WiFi is typically provided but not guaranteed; no refunds for service interruptions or mechanical failures.
5. A $500 fine will be imposed for any evidence of smoking, confetti, vomit residues, or glitter.
6. Set the A/C no lower than 72 degrees to prevent freezing and system issues; no refunds for low-temperature-related A/C problems.
7. Start-up sundries provided for the first two days; report missing items within one hour of arrival.
8. Pets are only allowed in designated pet-friendly units with an additional fee; ensure pets are well-behaved and must not be left alone at the home.
9. Bugs are common in the Texas Hill Country; pest control is in place, but some insects are inevitable.
10. In Texas, there are periods of time without significant rainfall causing the county to place a ban on burning. Please check the current burn ban status, before using the fire pit at your vacation rental. Check the amenities to see if this rental is equipped with a fire pit.
11. Quiet hours (10 p.m.â7 a.m.) apply within Fredericksburg city limits.
12. The City of Fredericksburg is an international Dark Sky Community. To protect the dark skies, please turn off outdoor lighting when not in use.
13. Only utilize the designated on-site and off-site parking spaces at your rental.
14. Any stay-related claims must be submitted within 72 hours after check-out; late claims are not eligible for refunds.

How close is Riverfront Ranch Retreat by Fred to the airport?
This vacation home is 58.4 mi (61-min drive) away from the San Antonio International Airport (SAT) airport, the closest popular airport to the property.
The house had not been cleaned when we arrived. Had to report and wait on cleaners to clean and leave (about 2 hr). The man on the phone said they would make up for it in some way BUT Ihave not been offered anything. I would like to have the cleaning fee refunded to my card at the very least!
4 high school gal friends from 1967! We loved the ambiance of the ranch. Outside was beautiful and serene. Inside was perfect accommodations! We hope to be back
We loved our stay but the title âwaterfallâ,and the pictures showing the waterfall, was inoperable. Iâm assuming due to the low water level. The information on the property was very vague and the instructions for the property seemed to be a blanket statement for multiple properties. One side of the house seemed to have trouble getting the air conditioner to it as the other side was very cold. Having said all this we had a great time the kids enjoyed kayaking and fishing, walking around all the animals that roamed the property.
