Family trip 2025
We had a group of 4 generations with my dad, siblings, grandkids and a great grandbaby. We just wanted to enjoy some family time together and we did which was awesome! The cabin provided plenty of space, bedrooms, bathrooms, and a large enough living space for everyone (which is hard to find). Kitchen had the things we needed for cooking breakfast one day. Beds were clean and comfortable. Kids enjoyed the pool table and the arcade game. All in all I would stay here again. However, house could use some updates and a good deep cleaning. A couple things need some TLC. I know amenities are important to some people, not so much to others. We used the pickleball courts. Only 1 had a net. The basketball court attached had so much moss growing on it and it had been raining, so it was so slick you couldn’t walk on it. We did not use any of the pools. The one by pickleball courts was covered and not able to be used. We drove past the other 2 (one did not look very clean and one was down a hill so I couldn’t really see it.) I did not see anyone using any of the pools. We did have a bear visit just about every day. My brother-in-law ran in to him twice while going to the car. This was a plus for us, kids loved it. Just use caution when going to your cars.

Haunted
Absolutely amazing view of the golf course, beautiful home, only one thing, my friends and I believe it is haunted because of the footsteps we heard throughout the night but other than that nice cabin

Spacious, beautiful & right side n the golf course
Looks just as pictures. Was a wonderful stay. Only thing I’d change is the mattresses, they are older and not in good shape…but this didn’t keep us from sleeping. Overall we were
Very happy with the spacious place which was just what we needed: big open spaces and large kitchen made it comfortable for our group.

Not bad
The cabin is roomy but I think the pricing could be cheaper for the quality. Things were not very clean upon arrival, the hot tub would hardly heat up, and the property had wear and tape on some of the furniture.

Great location for a family trip.
The home was a nice size for a large family, giving us room to come together or spread out as we needed. The only downsides were the hot tub never heated up, the refrigerator had a water leak, and the master shower didn’t get hot. Since we were out and about most of the weekend, it didn’t impact us.

Great family memory-making week!
Everything was great. Only thing we think needs attention would be lighting over the sink area in the kitchen, and lighting directly over the dining room table.
Some of the boards on the deck and railing could use attention, but would not be a “deal breaker”.

Yuck
They must’ve spray for bugs prior to us checking in. There were dead ladybugs all throughout the cabin. The refrigerator on the main level leaked & I almost fell when I slipped in the water. There was a hole in one of the doors. A missing ceiling tile in the lower level. A toilet leaked on the lower level. All the mattresses were VERY broken in.
I love the location & the space was perfect for us, that is why I picked this cabin.

Lovely home, but the owner needs to stay on top of the management.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Pop A Bear. HOWEVER, there was a lack of attention to cleaning detail and negligence in making sure things were working, such as the hot tub and TVs and sheets not fitting. The hot tub was not even working or hot or clean, and that was fixed the day after we arrived but it took time to heat up. A few of the TVs in the basement were not working, and a screen was cracked. Fitted sheets on the basement king sized beds did not fit. That was very uncomfortable. There was a very large "hole" in the mattress on one of the beds, and that only allowed sleeping on one side, as a person would sink if they tried to roll over on the hole. This would have been easily noted when the cleaners changed the sheets. Evidently, they don't care. These occurrences should have never happened. Plus, the kitchen was not thoroughly cleaned upon our arrival. We paid too much for this cabin for us to have to deal with this. Also, after the stay, a few articles of clothing were left behind accidentally. We absolutely took the blame for this, but even after numerous calls and emails telling exactly where to find the clothing, it was still not returned. Housekeeping did not even bother to do this, and we told them in detail where to locate the left behind items. This is laziness and apathy on their part. I was told that basically it's not their problem and IF the items are found they will send them. The items would have easily been found if someone had bothered checking. The owner, who lives in Georgia, needs to be made aware of the lack of care that the cabin is maintained with. I will be contacting the owner myself. Like I stated, the cabin itself and its location was lovely. The other issues were not. Renter beware.

Nice Home great location
This is a nice home where every room has its own bathroom. And our favorite feature is the side screened porch with comfy furniture with a nice view.

Dissappointing
The house itself is very accommodating. However, it was far from clean. Old dirt on the floors, cobwebs, carpets not vacuumed, (found pills spilled on upstairs floor) dirty prints all over the appliances, shelves in refrigerator were broken, burner on stove was broke, and on and on. Absolutely no attention to detail from cleaning crew. Very dark and steep driveway with no lights. It would have been nice to know that as I got there in the evening after dark. Needs to be closed for a good cleaning and repairs.

45th Birthday
We enjoyed our stay. Everything was what we expected except the jacuzzi not working. You can tell it hasn't been working for a while as there was a champagne bottle stuffed in the spa with mildew. Other than that everyone enjoyed the rest of the amenities and the beautiful view.
