Avis pour Crystal Lake Cottage | House in Gilmanton
Could use some tlc , some lights did not work. Bathroom showerstall did not stay closed. Bedroom doors are not closing. The area is nice and the house has all you need for a good stay, outside there is a canoe with life jackets and paddles.. just 150 yard from a small privat community beach.. they show the house as 10 person. But the beds are small for 10 persons i would rather say 8 persons. Water heater is small and provids for 4 persons water for a short shower.. even though these small things i would for sure rentbit again
Check in was originally 4p. I was informed at 3:15 that our check in would be 5p. Ok, it happens. We checked the area out and then pulled into the driveway a little before 5p. I saw a gentleman from Vacasa management leaving the house a little after 5p, and when I walked in the place was a complete, disgusting, dump. The pictures do not do it justice, because you can't see the ants by the sink and you can't smell the rancid stench. The guy saw my family and I in the driveway and didn't warn us not to go in, so I have to assume he was ok with how the house looked. I called immediately to complain and was told someone would contact me. I even received a text from Vacasa at 6:23p that same evening asking if the cleanliness met my expectations (again, telling me that they were ok with how the place looked). We drove 8 hours up to this place and then another hour to a hotel (tough to find a place over July 4th weekend). I never heard from anyone from the local management team. I contacted Vacasa numerous times and was told the same thing each time. "The local team is aware of the severity of the situation and will be contacting you." That never happened. Now, it's Friday and when I followed up yet again, they are refusing any refund claiming we opted not to stay there. Vacasa is fighting me every step of the way, when all we wanted was a clean house to rent. The pictures I posted are from the moment I walked in. Stay away from Vacasa!!
